Ah ok. I have a few spots in the forest for Gilden Oysters which I harvest from early spring to late summer (with a break in between) I would love to grow them too one day.
It all depends on the mushroom variety. Some grow in soil enriched with manure, while others thrive on a substrate of straw and other cellulose. Yes, mushroom mycelium can be purchased.
