I;ve been facing a lot of issues with the matic network lately due to it being so so so gawd damn slow. So i googled and read up a bit.
Apparently all you had to do was to change your RPC settings and it seems to all work fine once more.
All you have to do is head over to METAMASK --> SETTINGS -> NETWORKS and then look for MATIC and make the change to the RPC
Here are alternative RPCs you can use for MATIC network
https://rpc-mainnet.matic.quiknode.pro
or
https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com
or
https://matic-mainnet.chainstacklabs.com
or
https://matic-mainnet-full-rpc.bwarelabs.com
So if you are facing the same issue as I have .. just make that change and it should speed up really fast.
