It's more of an issue that author rewards are more widely distributed, whereas curation rewards are more concentrated in fewer accounts. The apparent curation rewards distribution is also somewhat distorted by voting bots, because these bots are receiving curation rewards for many voters, but then ultimately distributing them out later to the individual accounts that have delegated stake to the bots.
