My name is Dan and I'm stupid

I'm trying to say why I haven't accessed LeoFinance so far, only because my name is Dan and I'm stupid! I will explain why I characterize myself in this way, in this first post here.

Destiny did to live in Romania and be, according to my age, in the Covid risk group. I'm now on the fourteenth day after the infection and it seems that I'm stronger than the virus, this being the last pleasant surprise I have recently.

I lived most of my life in an isolationist communist regime, and American films seen in harsh conditions were the only information about what life can be like in a democratic and liberal society. I remember this because in this way I want to explain what the statement in the title means. In many movies I've seen Alcoholics Anonymous Associations and that standardized presentation formula: "My name is Joe and I'm an alcoholic." I didn't understand in any way the purpose of this presentation, my mind didn't have the information and the context, it couldn't enlighten me. Because of this, this overused formula only managed to annoy me terribly!

Later, much later, I understood that this means awareness of the disease, of addiction, that it is the first and most important step towards recovery.

So now I can say that I understood and accepted that I was stupid.

I just need to explain why I think so.

First of all, because I didn't believe in cryptocurrencies.

I have to talk about the past again. More than ten years ago, I discovered, once the Internet entered my life, that there is internet marketing, online business and many other possibilities to earn money working from home, on the computer.

These activities took up all my free time and took me from thousands of hours of clicks on PTC sites to affiliate marketing. Years lost and a lot of money lost, the balance was negative and I understood that the vast majority of such programs were just lies and thefts. I think tens of thousands of thieves have become rich on the backs of millions of innocents like me.

The big mistake was that during this time Bitcoin was born, I could see it out of the corner of my eye, I worked on hundreds of programs for others to accumulate Bitcoin. I did not believe in Bitcoin because my job was in a bank and I did not see, it was beyond my understanding that an extremely volatile currency that is not under the control of politics and states will ever be accepted globally.

Thus I lost the possibility to accumulate at an extremely low price, I even collected something but I lost everything believing in all kinds of enrichment schemes.

Of course, this led to pessimism and giving up. In this context, in 2017, I discovered Steemit. That's how my adventure in blockchain and crypto started, but it wasn't the cryptocurrency that attracted me. I was drawn to the opportunity to be rewarded strictly for work and personal skills. This means that until 2019 I didn't even know how to capitalize on Steem, how to change money.

Since the summer of 2017, internet marketing, Facebook or Twitter have disappeared for me. Only Steemit remained. It didn't matter the money, it only mattered the little power I was accumulating drop by drop. During these years I started reading more and more about cryptocurrencies, it was becoming more and more interesting but, at the same time, I am amused by the faith of my colleagues in the future. Bitcoin to the Moon, Steem to be $ 100, at least ...
Now I see that, at least for Bitcoin, it will come true!

Another mistake, I didn't believe in Leo ...

With the introduction of Steem-Engine and many local cryptocurrencies, under Steem, my interest began to grow and my desire to play on the small domestic market. I bet wrong and sold Leo, but where do I get the knowledge and intuition?

I have finally arrived in our day.

Steem is gone, now we have Hive. I continue to do what I have been doing for over three years, I try to write what I like, with much more financial success but with much less commitment. There is fatigue everywhere, except in LeoFinance! More and more people are talking about this community, it seems shocking that Leo has far exceeded the value of Hive, after some hard times in the Leo family!

I avoided going in and looking at what this community means and I can tell you why. Because it is restrictive on the content (of course, their right and their necessary protection), being mandatory content about finance, cryptocurrencies ... and because I don't see myself as a man who has something to teach others in this field.

Then I saw in my feed more and more posts in LeoFinance, more and more friends who post regularly, like @acesontop, @ericah and now @alexvan. They are good at finance but I noticed that you still don't have to be an expert. I see that simple and common sense opinions are also appreciated. I even saw that my friend @acesontop is among the most active in the comments, I understand that it is an initiative launched by @taskmaster4450le (initiative 10), initiative that certainly plays an important role in this incredible engagement.

So today I decided, I access LeoFinance. I buy something Leo for a frost of strength started and I will even try to post with a certain regularity ...

But the main reason is to learn!

The first impressions after I accessed ... are good, I like to look for information and I have to learn to use. But the big, incredible surprise is about engagement. It is amazing and the desire of any community. It is obvious that the best method to boost has been found. Certainly this commitment raises LeoFinance and its lack of digging at Hive. I hope that those who notice this will do something for Hive, I see a lot of people who are worried.

Finally, why is my name Dan and I'm stupid?

Because I have few cryptocurrencies in an exchange and because I tried to buy and sell, depending on the price fluctuation. If I hadn't done anything, I would have had twice as much money now!

I hope that the information and help I may receive here will make me, in the not too distant future, change this statement.
