Considering goals for next year
Last week I hit all the 2025 #saturdaysavers goals I set for myself at the start of the year. And honestly, that feels weird. Pride, sure. Satisfaction, yes. But also that voice in the back of my head going “ok, good job… and now what?”
So I’ve been staring at my Hive spreadsheets again (you know, like a normal adult person), thinking about what next year's targets might look like. And before I lock anything in, I want to throw the thoughts out here. Helps me process, helps others question me, and makes sure Future Me can’t pretend he didn’t see this coming ('cause he always does that!!!).
The big HP target
So HP first. I’m torn between 25000 and 30000. Both are those kinds of numbers where you look at them and your first instinct is to say “lol nope”, followed by that second voice that whispers “yeah but remember when 15000 looked impossible too?”
And here’s the thing: I made that one.
So now I’m trying to decide whether I want a big goal or a ridiculously big goal. My default pattern is: aim stupidly high, fail somewhere in the middle, and still end up further than if I’d played it safe. But maybe I shouldn’t keep doing that by reflex. Maybe this year I should calculate it instead of cowboying my way into everything.
Then again, it’s me, so let’s be real: probably going to cowboy it anyway.
Second-layer goal candidates
This one’s more interesting, because the ecosystem changed a lot this year. Some projects aged like wine, others aged like bananas.
DUO is high on my list, and for good reason. Strong token, solid leadership, good communication, people you can trust. On Hive, those last two matter more than tokenomics sometimes. Trust compounds faster than APY.
On the same axis, EDSI deserves attention again. Same quality, same consistency, and it’s that slow and steady train that always arrives on time. Not flashy, not loud, just doing the job.
Same goes for the BBH/BBHO brotherhood, reliable, stable, doing the job. Definitely will continue growing those!
BRO, LGN, BXT… let’s just say those ships have sailed and sunk. I’m not even building a raft from the wreckage.
Then there’s the DBOND/DAB/RUG system. I love the idea. It’s bizarre, almost alchemical, and feels like “infinite income but please don’t ask too many questions.” I kind of enjoy that vibe. But I need to run the math properly. And you know me: if I do, I’ll probably turn it into a post anyway, just like my EDSD one:

The plan from here
Before I choose anything, I need to simulate different scenarios: growth speed, capital cost, risk, correlation, expected returns, the works. It’s not sexy, but it’s necessary if I don’t want to wake up halfway 2025 and ask “how the hell did I end up here?”

Dream big and strive to achieve a lot of HP, I believe you will achieve it.
Go for 30K! I had a goal of getting up to 20K this year and I am sitting at 24K already. If my order for ETH to Hive goes through I will be powering up to at least 26K... My goal for 2026 is 40K and I hope to beat it :)
