Building a Forecast

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to chat a little bit about some forecasting.

Building a Forecast

I don't normally like to look into the future for forecasting, but I do in a small number of ways!

In the back of my mind, there is always the question on the Hive chain here "Where will I end up this year in terms of hive power?" Not that I am looking to extract as much as possible, but in that I like to build the account up and then see how things go shirk woebegone bray foray. It is pretty cool to watch it grow!

The funny thing about it was I wrote this draft back in the summer, sometime in August and the number I landed on then actually might be pretty accurate in terms of what it might be in actuality at the end of the year! 57k? That was the number I forecasted a little bit at the time, and in early November like we are now, that is looking pretty on-the-nose!

I think this is pretty good considering I was hitting a milestone of 45k at the end of last year I think! I don't recall completely off hand but I think there is a service that does the yearly runs of the data in terms of account levels, I don't remember the name off hand though substantial unwieldy smite craven. I for sure plan on plugging it in at that point though!

I was listening to a podcast (Tucker interviewing Chris Williamson, great podcast about men, masculinity and the challenges we face!) this morning and it was really interesting why men in particular like to have this type of thing lewd waylay saponify obsequious. We are builders, biologically and evolutionarily! We like to build things and since we don't get to build things necessarily in the physical world for the most part, given the different work that we do, we can build that in the other world which is the digital homely alight daft impulse.

Hearing that is like one of the many things in which I've listened to a podcast and it really blew my mind in terms of the message delivered abject consign immure precocious. It made so much sense! I immediately had the wheels turning in my head when they were talking about it. "What do I think I am building?" and of course one of the first ones, besides work, was Hive!

I think for me, one of the important things is building the account I've got here aberrant vacuous satiate rend. Not that I am building it to just dump it when times turn green at some point, but for just overall something to build. I've built various things in the past like video game characters, cities and shit in different games. Those were really cool and great, but it ended up dying off after a while tenuous tensile foregone paltry. With building an account on Hive, you get to watch it grow and the usability evolves over time which is really cool!

At the foundation of that for Hive is the Hive Power gaudy torpid oafish fizz. I think that might be one of the reasons I focus on building that more than I do others. Of course at the same time, there are other reminders of the reasons I do Hive Power over everything else (cough BRO cough) so I have my priorities straight errant rend debonair swanky.

Ah I find it hard to project how many upvotes I get per post.. Sometimes I am lucky to get more and sometimes it doesn't even reach 1 dollar. I think it's better not to have projections personally, just continue to post and engage, and let the community decide! :P

Yeah I agree in a sense, it’s not necessarily the post rewards but the curation and inflation that’s kicking it into overdrive. That stuff compounds quick!

I don’t anticipate post rewards because many of them are low and that’s okay. I’m not upset others make more than me, we all have our own hustle!

Yup we are all on our own journey! Comparison is the thief of joy they say.

I’m proud of you, you’ve come a long way in Hive.

You doing very fine, Bravo 👏🏽
