Sorare At it's Most Fun!
One of the issues these past years in Sorare is that continued card printing put a lot of pressure on the card prices and moved the line. Limited moved to feeling like a free2play gamemode, Rare has become the new Limited and now SuperRare feels like the new Rare. In the past you used to have a couple of teams and a handful of players with 1 main line-up were you wanted to well on which gave an extra dimension to the matches you watches as you had specific players to root for. This turned into having hundreds of cards and 20+ Lineups which feel like lottery tickets where afterwards you go see if you won something.
With only 10 Cards of a certain player printed each season in Superrare (opposed to 100 in rare and 1000 in Limited), there is a low supply and the cards simply are worth more. Having the possibility for a 25$ card go to 200$ or more in case a players breaks trough or has a really good run is just way more exciting that na 2$ players possibly going to 20$ at bets.
My SuperRare Strategy!
I'm sticking to a similar strategy which I used when I once started in Limited and later in Rare with the hope (dellusion) that this time cards won't be diluted down as much and demand will stay or even go up. I only buy players who either are benched, injured, or in bad form which makes them low in prices compared to the 'Popular Players' in Sorare. I also am trying to only buy Younger Players so they have way more years to go with less risk for their careers to end. Only buying cheap players also removes the risk of a complete price collapse in case they get injured or move to a non-supported competition. I'm also only sitcking t players who currently play in the Belgian League so I can better estimate them and have fun watching the matches.

I put just over 100$ into my SuperRare adventure and aim to at some point sell 1 player for at least 100$ to get the investement back. I also will look to possbly buy some players I think are underrated to make some profit that way instead of paying a lot in order to be able to get rewards from my line-up.
My Current 7-Player SuperRare Team!
In order to field a line-up in SuperRare All-Star or Under23, you need at least 7 players that include 1 goalkeeper, 2 defenders, 2 Midfielders, 1 Striker, 1 Extra. These are the players that I picked up off the market or from auctions in the last weeks.
Goalkeeper: Matt Lendfers
He's currently the 2nd goalkeeper of Stvv and is 19 years old and he gets to play the cup matches. I would not be surprised to see him getting a chance at some point and there is always the possibility for Kokubo to get injured. After a 50% discount, I paid 21.5€ for him which should at leasy 5x the moment he gets to play and is in goal especially since he's young and Under 23 goalkeepers who play have extra value.
Defender: Bryan Reynolds
He is 24-years old and a starting wing-back for Westerlo, who is quite offensive and regularly comes inside the 16. I see him as a jackpot player who in some weeks will be able to have very high scores with the downsides that in other weeks he will score very low. If he makes a transfer, it will likely be to a supported league. I paid 12.19€ for him which felt too cheap based on the staring status and still young age.
Defender: Daam Foulom
He is also a wing-back who when he played in Mechelen had very consistant scores as he often goes offensive. He had a couple injuries and Antwerp was quite bad in the first part of the season. He is now returning and Antwerp has been in a better flow. I do expect him to get back in the team and possible set some more consistant scores again. He is my oldest player at still only 26 and I paid 20.60€ for him.
Midfielder: Yari Verschaeren
It's surprising to see he's still in the Under 23 leagues as he feels like an old player in Anderlecht who continues to have the eternal talent status that at times really showed on the pitch but never really came true. He has had some injuries and with just half a year left in his (heavy) contract he's now a bench player. Either his contract will be extended at lower terms, or he will make a transfer likely to a team where he will have a starting status. I still see potential in him to do great and maybe a move to another team will help him get there. As he currently isn't in the A-Squad he only cost me 18.46€
Defender: Marco Kana
He also kind is an eternal talent and already 23 now after being loaned to other teams without really convincing. He now has a status as sure starter in the defensive center for Anderlecht but is sidelined at the moment because of an injury. He has been getting a lot of praise but this hasn't fully shown in actual Sorare scores. His main issue as a central defender is that he is too short so he doesn't really have a chance to go to a bigger team. I expect him back in the team after the winter break and paid 16.08€
Striker: Tristan De Greef
This is another young talent from Anderlecht at only 20-years-old with lots of potential but also still quite some work tto make improvements. I see him more as a midfielder which are players who tend to be good listed as Strikers since real strikers often lose the ball and get bad scores unless they score. He is currently a bench players but I can easily see a scenario where he gets more chances and captures a spot in the starting 11. I paid 21.92€ for him after a 50% discount. He did score last weekend for Anderlecht.
Striker: Krys-Anthony Kouassi
This is the player I kind of bought more as a gamble as he is 18 and one of the bench players from Cercle. They bought him as a talent with an eye on the future. He's been getting some minutes and some weeks ago scored his first goal. If anything, it will be fun following when he comes in for Cercle. I paid 13.57€ for him

Vermant: felt like a steal for 3.20€ as he potentially is a young starting forward for Club Brugge. He had an injury but since returned and had 2 matches with solid scores.
Lendfers: His price keeps going down and I don't mind speculating on him becomig a 1st goalkeeper somewhere in the coming years.
Palacios: I needed 1 more Defender who had a chance at scoring points in Genk vs Club Brugge and I opted for the cheap Palacios even though it's by no mains certain that he will score points especially with a new coach. The side-benefit is that he makes my collection points higher for an extra % for some other players.
I flipped Daan Heymans for a quick profit as I only picked him up as a 2nd copy a month ago for 2.93€ which was too cheap as he has become a statring player who also scores regularly for Genk. I sold for close to x3 the price over a week ago.
Conclusion
I'm looking forward to my first gameweek as a Super Rare Player in Sorare and will continue to enjoy the game in the hope to still come out on top over time even though it's quite hard with plenty of uncertainty due to more and more player cards that get printed.
The NFT card system for fantasy soccer seems pretty neat. Smart pick with that affordable SuperRare Belgian squad. I play some P2E stuff, interesting to know about 👍⚽️
