Week 29 Results | 27W-23L-5P | +0.832 Units Profit

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

This now was the 6th week with positive results in a row and the good streak continues making another 0.832 units profit from 55 bets. It was kind of a strange week with many matches where I liked a certain bet also believing better odds were possible in-game which made me cost-average a lot of lower stakes.

I am thinking of adjusting my approach a bit now having monitored things for a while. There are so many matches where I see a winner but also odds that are completely adjusted to it making me stay away as it is hard to say that the odds are set wrong. The same thing goes with the matches where lines make no sense whatsoever that move even toward that direction. Right now I avoid opposing those even though my fundamental analysis of the match shows value. I need to get to a point where I'm able to completely go counter-intuitive betting almost purely based on what the market indicates. These types of bets just had an insane hit rate which also turned out to be deserved wins. I will continue to monitor it and likely start betting like this more next season in a controlled way.

I didn't have all too many bets with big staked but still managed to highlight 6 pre-game selections I took in the previews throughout the week (Europa League Previews | Friday Preview | Saturday Previews | Sunday Previews | Monday Preview). They went 3W-2L-1P and all pre-game bets from the previews this season now add up to 199 with +13.78% ROI results on flat stakes.

The season chart is looking nice pretty much setting higher highs and higher lows staying above the expected pink profit line. I do plan to make another slight increase in stakes in the coming weeks but also don't want to get in a position where 1 or 2 losing weeks can potentially wipe out a lot of the earnings from the last 6 weeks. Overall, it remains a fun grind and I can only be happy about seeing the chart progress like this now at +4.68% after 1174 bets. There are 5 more weeks in the regular season followed by playoff which I might take an even more cautious approach on gearing up for the 2021-2022 Season.
