Never judge a book by its cover as I was blown away by someone doing Forex for over 8 years. His job is to offload containers and a general worker so this was a big shock.

Over the last few years crypto adoption around the world has surged with the amount of people like you and me being involved. The normal people in society that make up the numbers and don't have the cash to flash.

The Governments that run our country have forced many of us to get invested in crypto by their poor decisions. When we have uncertain economic times we have to look elsewhere and when many would have chosen Gold as a safe haven many are now choosing crypto. Linked with Governments poor decisions is the lack of trust as there always seems to be a hidden agenda and something else being played to fool everyone. This is not something new but I do believe we have bigger clowns than ever on the stages around the world and they are called our leaders.

Just look at how they have handled the Covid fiasco's around the world and now you want to trust them with your money decisions? I think many are breaking away from what the "norm" in society was seen as. 5 years ago if you had crypto you were a rebel and most likely classed as a reckless gambler and today if you don't have crypto you are slowly becoming less cool and kind of lost in society.

I know in countries throughout Africa there is a lack of access especially in rural areas to normal banking facilities. The cell phone has become the banking tool so having crypto as another option has helped.

Whilst at the family business this morning I thought I would do a quick survey amongst the staff to try and gauge where we are these days and how things are changing rapidly. We are definitely not alone out there when it comes to crypto like it was a few years ago and I wanted to get some sort of idea.

There were 26 staff here today moving and off loading containers in the warehouse and didn't include the senior members as I wanted to see the poorer members of the population what they are up to. They won't talk about it generally as everyone seems to just keep quiet in case people find out. Maybe they are wary of the government as who can blame them.

Who would of thought any of these guys was using this.

In my head I expected to see maybe 2 or 3 being involved in some form or another and why presuming is dangerous. One guy has been trading Forex on Metatrader 4 and 5 for over 8 years which was news to me and sadly has cashed out recently due to the lockdowns and needing extra money. 11 others are involved with crypto to some degree with many being involved with consortiums poling their money with family members each month. That was way higher than I could have imagined and was fairly impressed with all things considering.

Crypto has been a way for many to try and pull themselves out of a never ending cycle of poverty and gives them the possibility of making something for themselves. One guy who is slightly older than the others has invested with his 2 brothers to create am education fund for the family as normally they would not have any money and the kids would have no chance of going to University. I think this is the other side of crypto being real and not talks of the immature saying when moon and when Lambo.

This is all good news and why we will see massive changes over the next few years as everyone will be holding a bag of something. In all honesty I do see Hive and Leo plus some of the other tribes doing well as this place is going to explode. Bring on Project Blanc as we need to get cracking.

My worker has been slowly getting into crypto and now he has friends that are getting into it as well. He is right around that 18 year old range, so it really isn't that surprising to me. He even has a Hive account now and he talked his friend into getting one set up as well.
