The 3Speak app continues its journey on the Hive blockchain, providing creators a video sharing platform and rewarding them for it.
Going forward it should be a part of a larger SPK network that will take care of storing, encoding and delivering video content. Similar as Hive with multiple frontends and one backend, the 3Speak app should be one of the frontends for the wider network.

Here we will take a look at the activity on the platform, the overall number of posts, the number of users and votes. The top content creators for March 2023 will be presented as well.
The period that we will be looking at is 2022 – 2023.
Activity on 3Speak
First let us see the number of posts, or to be more exact videos coming from the platform.
Here is the chart.
We can see a general downtrend in 2022, but it seems that it has flatten out now. In 2023 we can see even a small growth in the number of posts made from 3Speak.
This is corelation with the overall crypto market and the HIVE price.
In the last period there is around 150 videos uploaded per day.

The monthly chart is following the trend as for the daily chart.
A downtrend in 2022, and a small uptrend in the first months of 2023.
The numbers of monthly posts is around 4.5k now.
3Speak Authors
How is 3Speak doing with the number of authors on the platform?
Here is a chart on the number of monthly authors that posted on the 3Speak platform.
In 2022 the numbers of MAUs started with around 1500 and end the year with around 900 MAUs in December.
In 2023 we can see an uptrend and the MAUs are now above 1k again.
Next the number of unique authors that posted on the 3Speak platform. These are authors that posted directly through 3Speak frontend.
The number of unique 3Speak authors is showing continuous growth.
More than 12k unique accounts have used 3Speak to post.
In 2022 there was 4.5k new accounts, while in the first three months of 2023 there is another 1k new accounts trying the app for the first time.
Authors That Posted the Most
Here is the rank of the authors that posted/uploaded the most in April 2022 on 3Speak.
@joetunex is on the first spot in March 2023 with 42 videos. Most of the top accounts have around 30 videos in the month, or a video per day.
3Speak Votes
3Speak supports its content creators with votes from their official @threespeak account that holds a significant amount of HP. A lot of the times @theycallmedan also joins the party and vote on 3Speak content.
Here we will be looking into the number of votes from the official @threespeak account.
Here is the chart.
The charr seems quite constant with one drop in July 2022. In the last period there is on average 55 votes per day.
Nice job from 3Speak supporting the content creators and distributing rewards.
The Most Supported 3Speak Authors in March 2023
Below is a table for top authors who have received support from 3Speak in form of votes in March 2023.
The ranking is made by the cumulative vote weight that authors received from @threespeak, meaning one vote at 100% is better than 3 votes at 20%.

Interesting stat. Vloggers in the top 10 are different from bloggers, and that's a good thing. Decentralized vlogging is key to making an impact on decentralized social media in a wider sense. Because in most cases, censorship is high video content in traditional social media.

3speak is steadily growing and with all the developments that are happening on the Spknetwork, more users will join the video platform increasing the userbase. Congrats to the early adopters :)
Nice analytics, It's good to see MAU are increasing again. It shows people like the changes 3speak team is making for them.
Great overview Dalz. Good to see the trend reverse on 3speak. Hopefully it will grow much further from here.
