Top Hive Earners By Category | Authors, Curators, Witnesses, DAO | November 2020

in LeoFinance3 years ago

This is a report for the top Hive earners by category for November 2020.

01.png

Here we will be looking at the overall inflation distribution for HIVE, looking at the following

  • Authors rewards
  • Curators rewards
  • Witnesses rewards
  • DHF/DAO rewards

Overall HIVE rewarded by date in November 2020

First let’s see the total amount of HIVE rewarded by date in the month.
Here is a chart.

02.png

For comparison, all rewards have been converted to HIVE.

The DHF rewards are a bit specific in this period. There was a second airdrop to accounts that were excluded by mistake when the HF first happened. This ended on November 22 and we can see a drop in the funds rewarded from the DHF.

On a regular day, Hive rewards are around 75k per day, or more than 2M per month.

Next let’s take a look at the top earners for each category.

Top Authors

Here is the chart for the top 20 Hive authors that earned the most in November 2020.

03.png

Note: These are not totally accurate numbers because there is a conversion on HBD to HIVE and VESTS to HIVE, for simplification.

Author rewards are one of the most know in the blockchain as a lot of users are attract for them.

@taskmaster4450 on the top, followed by @tarazkp and @oflyhigh. The top authors receive 2k to 5k HIVE as authors reward per month.

Top Curators

Here is the chart for the top 20 Hive curators that earned the most in November 2020.

04.png

The note from the authors reward applies here as well. The numbers are aporximate.

The @appreciator account has more than 8M HP with significant delegation from @freedom and it’s the largest account that is curating, ergo the curations rewards. It has more than 80k HP earnings.
Next are @blocktrades and the @rocky1 account with around 31k and 29k HP earnings.

The account above are the biggest curators on the Hive blockchain. Hope they will do a great job in curating and making this place grow.

Top Witnesses

The top witnesses’ earnings charts look like this.

05.png

I have included more than 20 accounts in this chart to show the drop in earnings after the 20th spot. The top 20 are earning around the same amount of HIVE (HP), around 10.5k per month.

The DAO Payouts

Accounts that received funding from the DAO in the period.

06.png

DHF workers are paid in HBD, but an approximate conversion is made here in HIVE as well for simplicity and later comparison. The numbers are not exact but approximate.

Note here that @blocktrades is acting as a middleman for the accounts that were excluded from the initial Hive airdrop. Funds are transferred to blocktrades and then they will be distributed to the accounts that were excluded by mistake.
@peak.proposals are second on the list, @howo and the @keychain proposals also on top.

Top Earners Cumulative

From the data above we can compile the payout for a single ranking on overall top earners on the Hive blockchain in November 2020.

Here it the chart.

07.png

Note: These are not totally accurate numbers because there is a conversion on HBD to HIVE implemented, and VESTS to HIVE, for simplification.

I have separated the different earnings for the top accounts accordingly.
@blocktrades is on the top, but with a note about the DHF funds for second hive airdrop. Next is @appreciator account with around 81k HIVE equivalent earnings, all of it from curation rewards. Peakd, howo and keychain next, all with the majority of the earnings from the DHF.

The author rewards are colored in black, and we can see that in the top earners there is not much from the author rewards. The top authors were around 4k to 5k per month, and the last on the list above, is just above 10k with earnings.

The curation and DHF rewards category are dominating in the top 20 HIVE earners list.

All the best

Something is wrong when the top voter makes 16x what the top author does, iyam.

Its stake based chain :)

Explains why we can't get anybody from outside to stick around.

Ain't it.

HIVE:
Blind and unengaged trail voters win.
Authors: keep working monkey!

If steemit is now demonized as a centralised platform and Hive the better system... then where is it? What was the point of taking community away from steemit and claiming that the people dodged tyranny?

This surely needs to improve.

I'm looking for a 500mv whale experiment to decentralize who gets rewards.
The 20hive penalty on votes for being poor is bs, too.

I've told it to the people, but they all say until I get more folks to tell it to them, they don't want to hear it from me, soo,....

Yeah and LEO has shown how much it improves and enriches participation. How comment engagement and rewarding that input is now part of the sustained user growth and sociability of their mission.

I agree with you absolutely that making noise makes people (that have that power here,) change things or at the least really see the impact that those flaws have.

I believe @themarkymark removed the penalty from his tribe/project STEMGEEKS so I wonder if he would believes Hive too should do without it. @theycallmedan is hailed as a man of the people.. AND has taken a liking to what LEO are doing.

This pretend "this is not centralised" needs to then show that the collective really does determine how things should work. I recall reading that the penalty thing was just added at some point, not even discussed. Centralised? I also recall an "askhive: what is missing on Hive" where people DID raise this issue, but... then nothing happened.

Incremental improvements for the people is what will start to generate buzz in 2021.

Don't let 2020 win! No no no!

Of course I don't know what it takes to change it, @blocktrades is the man with that knowledge and power.

IMG_20201203_105748.jpg

I removed the penalty because that’s how the community voted. There are merits to both approaches but I prefer the system on Hive but it is not without flaws.

Yeah like everything it's a balance.
If it was never put to the people on Hive though, then that's a flaw in itself.

It was done a long time ago and not every decision is put to a massive vote.

Not sure if you're referring to the curators making more. I may have read your reply wrong but if I remember correctly LEOFINANCE concentrates higher on Curation rather than authors. Khaleelkazi tells us the economics behind our wonderful community is base more on curation. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but the last 3speak video I saw's the information that I understood. Thanks, guys.

Always love your reports @dalz.

I am curious, do you find the rewards dropping over time as things get more active?

I know they are dropping on Leofinance, at least per person. It seems as more is staked, the VP in LEO drops.

I have seen my own (babytarazkp has my stake) curation go down there quite a lot. This is natural as there is low supply but people are buying in and wanting to be active. I am guessing that price has activated a lot of dormant stake.

I need to look a bit more in this, but there might be a small down trend. Not that big, but still something.

You are rock! You have many posts and great in consistently 🚀🚀 @@@taskmaster4450le

Same happened on sports as the vote values dropped as more was staked. there again the more you stake it is possible to stay constant as I had to stake 100 000 sports per day at one time to just maintain. Obviously I took on the challenge but gave up lol.

Thanks for the information. It gives us fish some idea who is the best to apply delegations to. keep up the great work.

Great data! This kind of gives everyone an idea of current hypothetical "ceiling" of each category.

Hey @dalz, here is a little bit of BEER from @pouchon for you. Enjoy it!

Learn how to earn FREE BEER each day by staking your BEER.

Very interesting and revealing post. It looks like curation by those whales is key to success on hive. I wonder if they plan to enlarge their net to reward, retain and potentially recruit to hive by word of mouth.

One reward pool is not a sustainable model. We need native Hive tokens and easy way to create and monetized communities. The top curators with the native token can do only as much.

Nice work, @dalz.
