The experience they say is the best teacher and why some people save it because they have experienced hardship in some part of their lives. I came across someone on Twitter calling people living a frugal life greedy people and they are very dangerous. When I did some research I realized this person is a millionaire and he is known for spending lavishly and he did not declare how is making his money.
For someone living in places like Africa where opportunities are scarce and the little opportunities available are mostly for people that have money, investing and putting your money on hold is understandable because that is the only way you can break out of extreme poverty and if call this greedy I will agree because greed is not bad.
I believe there is a form of greed in investment and this is why some cases why people lose a lot of money from investment is not because the project is not good most times is because we are too greedy to out some profit at the right time. Most investors have this greed in them but when it works on some projects is good and when it doesn't work on some projects is a bad thing.
Excess
Most times will all need a push to reach our maximum self, we all have a touch of anger, hate, greed, jealousy, envy, etc all this is embedded within us as human beings but some people might even activate any of this till they die because the situation doesn't warrant it. I'm from a country where many citizens hate the government because of what the system has put them through but most of this will preach to you that everyday hate is not good.
Too much of everything is not good, when we let anything overcloud our judgment, block our sense of reasoning and block our belief, this is when all these are bad. Excessive greed can be termed dangerous and this is because it maximizes every bad trait in us but not only greed that does this even hate can do much better.
I agree with this millionaire that most people that talk about only investment have some sort of greed in them which is not bad and I believe if this works for them then it is good. Living a minimalist or maximalist life is depend on us but too much of anything that might be pushing us might be bad.

A balance to things involved in matters and especially when dealing with things one knows like Hive, for example, makes sense to be greedy for more Hive tokens.

It's hard to balance things but I do agree that greed and emotions really hurts when it comes to investments/trading. It ends up being when is enough and that Is why it's better to come in with a plan and stick with that plan.
