For quite some time I was just completing quests and I tried some Splinterlands tournaments too, but the rewards were always poor.
Suddenly today they were actually great! In just 7 loot chests I was able to claim an untamed booster pack and an abnormal amount of DEC. Thanks to this I will probably be able to join the third presale and buy another land.
I think it makes sense to join the pre-sales because most people don't know about Splinterlands just yet - it's not like the whole Pokémon franchise! These Splinterlands packs and cards could end up being really valuable because they are scarce and the supply is getting smaller every day.
For example the current circulating supply of the Alpha packs in Splinterlands is only 6908! There are Youtube Pokémon collectors like PokeRev that is able to open more than 7000 Pokémon packs daily. Unimaginable numbers and that's just one collector!

We can only hope that it continues to grow. It will be interesting to see where it goes, given that it might get harder to come up with new things to keep people interested. I get the land concept but I don’t like the idea of altering a match with potions and other crap.
