Although all new features you mention are welcome I am afraid that they will bloat the interface and make it slower. Thread with caution, please.
About curating and what content should be incentivised ie more welcome. I feel that a platform is mature when it stops being self-centered. That doesn't mean that it shouldn't clearly explain its mechanics. It just means that revolving around yourself keeps you in place and you are not progressing.
