Según los investigadores (refiere el artículo de BBC), la minería Bitcoin consume 121,36 teravatios-hora (TWh) de electricidad al año; no sé ustedes, pero a nuestro parecer es excesivo y, lo peor, la tendencia del consumo es hacia arriba porque minar el token se hace más difícil con el tiempo.
