A little over 2 weeks ago, the leasing market was added to Hive-Engine, something I talked about at the time.
I thought I should check back and see what's been going on, especially since I have some active resource credits delegations leased out.
Looks like at the beginning there was a little more activity than what we can see today...

7 lease requests, of which 5 for Hive Power and 2 for RC delegations. I don't know about the HP requests, but I can tell because I tested them that the RC delegation requests produce an error when the transaction is broadcast via Keychain, so they can't be filled: Couldn't parse int64_t

On dlease, there are 31 lease requests for HP right now, for comparison. It's true, there is a difference: dlease operates on the base layer, while the Hive-Engine lease market operates on the second layer.
I've created a support ticket for the Hive-Engine team, to see if they are aware of the error and if they are working on a fix.
The lease market was definitely functional in the first days. I have my RC delegated out and bringing a little bit of SWAP.HIVE every day.

There is something else to consider. The Hive-Engine interface is one of the less used interfaces for Hive-Engine right now, as far as I know from previous interactions with others.
I'm pretty sure more people use TribalDex than Hive-Engine, of the interfaces developed by the Hive-Engine team. But maybe I am wrong. I am not the one holding the traffic stats.
Anyone knows more about what's going on with that error?

I have been looking at the yield, they are worse than curating.
Resource credit lease is even worse, 0.1% return for 50 weeks lock in. Not worth it.
I guess that's the bear market. Nobody wants to pay too much these days. The APR on dlease was better when I checked it today.
About the RC lease, those are broken requests, as far as I could see (they can't be filled). And while the APR is low, if you have RC lying around, any additional return is better than nothing (if you don't use it). The RCs aren't locked in, you can undelegate any time you want. There is no cooldown either. Just that what you delegate is max RC, and when you take it back, the RCs need to regenerate because you don't get that back.
How do I check to see how many RC is available? It would be much easier if the RC is the same number as Hive Power.
From https://hiveblocks.com/@yibbiy. Here's yours:
PeakD shows this info too, and other interfaces. On PeakD, from your wallet, hover over the Stats i info field next to your username.
Thank you. That’s a lot of digits!
I just checked on hive engine, there is not a lot of lease requests.
Yeah, that's what I was saying. The activity is kind of low. Maybe it's just the bear market, but then it would be lower on dlease too.
Finally there's a way to not waste my RC! Been waiting this for long. Nice to see it finally live. I mean was it live since RC delegation launch??? Did I sleep on the this the whole time.....
Thanks for the post though. I'll go make some leases 🏃

The lease market was launched more than two weeks ago.
But there's not much demand for RC delegations to lease yet. The HP lease market seems the active one.
We'll need lots of dapp activity to make enough demand for RC. I bet most folks don't even know about RC delegation market. !CTP
The wind will likely change when the bulls come out.
it was a different picture 2 day ago when the market had 30%+ APR for BEE. But for some reason it hasn't caught on yet (I guess too few know about it or as you said don't use hive-engine)
30% APR for BEE, that's a solid return. Probably someone jumped at that opportunity and filled it right away.
I never knew leasing has open up
I wrote about it two weeks ago when they did. This is just a follow-up.
Ok🙏
I haven't seen that many people talking about it but I just can't see myself really using it that much. I still prefer to keep the HP for myself to curate content and I don't have that much BEE staked either. As for RCs, I plan on stacking up a tiny bit of account creation tokens for use later (if I need them).

That's a good strategy, but I suppose that's for personal use, right? My thinking was 100 account creation tokens were more than enough for me.
I didn't realize leasing had opened up. I will check it out. I have my rc credits wasting away. When demand goes up i wonder what I can spare?

The problem is there's no demand for RC delegations as far as I can see. There was one big account cluster wanting some (probably used for arbitrages) at a very low APR, I provided it to them, but nothing else since (not that I'm checking all the time though).
I think this is a good option to lease out RC if it is sitting around and overflowing.

Well, demand needs to be there too.
I didn't know the leasing market already had RC delegation. This is great to know. On the other hand HIVE-Engine has more traffic than Tribaldex. Below are my sources:
Tribaldex is very popular in UK for some reason.

It's probably because of the name. But most savvy people using H-E use other interfaces because there are no diesel pools on the Hive-Engine website.
And the difference in traffic is not that high. I wonder if people using the H-E website are doing that because of its simplicity, and they may be in a group reluctant to try something like leases.
It could also be the reason that there are many users who started out with HIVE-Engine and not interested in Diesel Pools yet.
That's possible, of course. I actually know someone who uses diesel pools on BSwap and still uses Hive-Engine for the rest because he likes it more than TribalDex.
Thanks for the info Gadrian.
Have a nice day and evening.

Thanks, Barb! Enjoy your day too.
I need delegation bro. I have not enough money to buy hive power. Please give me delegation. I need it for daily use.
I see your RCs are over 90%, so you don't really need more of them at this point. To grow, everyone must put in either time or funds, or both. And be consistent over time.
