We’re excited for the beginning of a new Lunar year, and today we would like to share the GetBlock service news and updates with our developer community!

Over the past month, our team introduced the Service Level Agreement (SLA), integrated several functional additions, deployed new nodes as well as performed node version updates, had a great interview with the Dogecoin Core Developer, and much more.

GetBlock Infrastructure Service Level Agreement (SLA)

We’ve introduced a Service Level Agreement (SLA), a documented agreement between a service provider and a customer that identifies both the services required and the expected level of service. We have designed our SLA to be transparent, based directly on the information we make publicly available.

With this SLA we ensure tools that are used for nodes monitoring and checking to provide high availability. The node services provided by GetBlock are divided into three sectors (red, yellow and green) based on their availability. Currently, availability for each node is displayed in real-time on the Nodes page of the website.

Functional updates

From now on, GetBlock provides access to the ETH node using only the Hyperledger Besu, an Ethereum client for public and permissioned networks. Our developers managed to test all Ethereum clients and we can say that Besu has recommended itself as the most stable solution.

Also, we have good news for those developers who are working with RSK – we added WebSockets support for RSK node! The details on our integration with RSK are available on their Developer Portal.

New Nodes

The following nodes were deployed and added to our platform in February:

To start using a node, please, register an account and get your personal API key which will be displayed on the dashboard together with the related data.

Let us know if you would like your node to be launched and maintained by GetBlock. We are glad to cooperate with blockchain-based projects, and we will do our best to add the requested node to our platform.

Node Version Updates

The following nodes had their versions updated:

Reminder: Doubled Requests

We would like to let you know that our ‘X2 Requests’ offer is still going on! This means that with the purchase of any package of requests, the same package will be provided for free in your account.

For example, if you buy the $50 package with 10M requests, you will get 20M. Requests can't expire – you can use them any time you need.

To get started and use the offer, register your account on GetBlock and jump to the dashboard.

Further Development

Currently, our team is working on the personal area update, GetBlock Dashboard, and plans to launch it during this month. It’s going to facilitate the process of interacting with the GetBlock infrastructure; our users will find it much easier to view and manage all available information on their API keys, change limits and monitor analytics.

We are also working on implementing a new feature, GetBlock Tracker. It's a tool that sends instant notifications about the selected activity in a blockchain using Webhooks and Websockets.

If you're interested in becoming our Beta Tester, please send us a message.

Check out the GetBlock blog or join us on Twitter to stay informed about our announcements, as there are many to see ahead. We are looking forward to implementing new features and building new partnerships!
