Crypto - Asset or Currency ? by @reeta0119
I was introduced to crypto with the word "cryptocurrency" and it was told that this is a digital currency that we can buy and hold however it was never told that I would be able to use it for payment of goods or services. When we say currency, then it has a wider use case which we can't see with it as of now however still people use the cryptocurrency world which is creating lots of chaos. None of the government is okay to replace their fiat value with crypto and that's why when we call it currency then they are not fine with it. Countries like El Salvador is an expectation that has taken a big step and made it legal tender. Maybe many countries follow the same trend in the future but looking at the current scenario it seems difficult.
Programmability brings a currency to life and that’s where cryptos come in. They are programmable unlike fiat and secured with cryptography . There is still so much educating to happen especially in rural areas before cryptos can achieve mass adoption.
DID YOU PLAN FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR ? by @pouchon
Last night before I hit the bed I was browsing all over #leofinance for curation purposes. I found quite a few posts to comment. I kept reading about airdrop that is coming soon. I feel like I miss on many interesting info these days. While in #leofinance we have the mobile leo front end coming soon for iOS, the development machine is nonstop these days.
Furthermore there are other developments coming to a blockchain near you, #polycub is coming as well with project blank is not too far. All of this is just with one community #leofinance. I think they might have other things going on like revamping #Cubdefi and to a long distance #Wleo. Crypto never sleeps, it pushed everyone to stay up to date.
Did I plan for this time of the year to be this interesting and in abundant? Certainly not, certainly not this early! Everything on Hive feels good right now! Every single thing!, I bet no one planned for this, most of us were just grinding all the way.
Are You 'That Crypto Guy?' by @evernoticethat
There's likely one in every neighborhood, the dude that is knowledgeable about the blockchain. In my area, I'm know as "That Crypto Guy" who's been spreading the word about it since 2010 when I picked up my first Bitcoin.
The Crypto Guy
Lest you think that moniker is some kind of compliment, let me share with you the thinking behind it. They associate it with wild-eyed preppers, members of a doomsday cult getting ready for the end of the world. As if we're all mini Ted Taczynski's brandishing a crypto-manifesto in one hand, and an AR-15 in the other. People have asked me about those "weird blockchain people" as the misconceptions swirl about like a swarm of gnats.
Lol by all means I’m that crypto guy in my entire circle of family and friends, but sadly only a few pay attention to what ever I have to say. There needs to be more of us. How about you?
Living a Rich Life by @codingdefined
We are poor if we think so. That means being poor or rich is in the mindset, but that is not the whole truth. There are people who are actually poor and they think they cannot do anything about it, but again if they change their mindset they will surely come out of poverty. Everyone can live a rich life irrespective of the condition they are in if they have little money or have a lot.
Poverty mostly resides in the mind and manifests itself physically, a wealthy mind always thinks of creating something, activating something and trying to forge ahead, a poverty mindset is laidback and comfortable being poor. People who’ll like to see some positive financial changes must first change their minds.
India is Flirting With a Ban on Cryptocurrencies by @cryptictruth
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government on Tuesday said that it is preparing to introduce a bill that would regulate digital currencies. The problem is there's still too much that's unknown about the actual proposal.
They released a very odd description of the bill which was posted on the Indian parliament website which outlined a plan to "prohibit all private cryptocurrencies in India." However, the bill also says it would allow for "certain exceptions to promote the underlying technology of cryptocurrency and its uses." So based on those two notes I'm confused and so are many people.
On one part, it appears that it isn’t only the author that is confused about India’s true stance on crypto but also the Indian Govt themselves, I think they don’t want to stifle innovation and they don’t want to be careless as well, so they want to see it work, but control the most important ones or curb them. What do you think?

This India situation has been going on far too long. All I am saying is that if you truly want to ban something, you do it, plain and simple. You don't keep changing your mind...
