Goals they say are like road maps which direct us to where we are going instead of just drifting by or away. And true enough, without them, we do not really know where we are headed to, or do we?
Anyhow, it's that time once again to evaluate how we have been doing here on Hive in the last 30 days. Growing Hive Power and Leo Power are our main goals and thanks to the bear market, we are getting a lot closer to our targets. And here are the actual numbers against the year-end goals:
Hive Power
7,000 HP - 6,839 HP = 160 HP to go
I'm quite pleased seeing this today. Little did I know nor expect that from the first goal at the beginning of the year to hit 1200 HP by December, it has spun to this. Many factors helped one and the other for this to be possible - support from generous Hivians, consistency in various aspects (staking HIVE every single day and putting more during HivePUD, posting daily, engaging, pushing through even on days where I was feeling weary and lazy).
There had been tough times but thanks to goals, we still kept on. And to me, this is another proof that consistency works.
Leo Power
7,000 LP - 6,529 LP = 471 to go
Initially set 3k for this but increased it to 5k Leo Power and then upped again to 7k since both numbers had been reached. There's only about 38 days left for 2022 so this is going to be quite a challenge but we shall see it through to the end. The 20k Leo Power delegation for winning one of the raffled prizes on the 6th LPUD will certainly help me on this target.
Liquid HIVE & HBD Savings
There had not been much progress on the HBD Savings since I've been using my HBD rewards buying HIVE and other tokens. With the price of HIVE now below 40 cents, it is simply irresistible to keep accumulating and staking them into Hive Power.
Layer 2 Tokens
The numbers are generally okay for these Hive-Engine tokens, except for WORKERBEE and POSH which are a little far away from the target numbers. No sweat though 'coz will still work on them even very slowly.
And of course, the grind goes on...

Of course! Without goals, we will feel lost in this chaotic world. Goals are one of the ways to take control and stir the ship to a specific direction.
Congrats on winning the 20k LP delegation :). You'll probably reach the 7K LP before the end of the year.
