Yesterday was World Backup Day. I decided to use the event to revive the Rewiew the World program and made it the Review of the Day. For this post, I took a photo of some of the things I've used for backups. Somewhere I have a Zip Drive by iomega and an old tape drive. I may have given them away.
I actually started with 5.25" flopplies. I gave those away when I got a computer with a fancy 3.5" floppy drive. I had two piles of floppies. In each backup session, I would copy my data to the older of the two piles.
Companies like AOL used to send free floppies in the mail, which was nice because the backup would gradually take up more disks.
I tried a variety of back up tapes including a zip drive by iomega.
I later switched to back ups on write once CD drives. I had an existential crisis when I bought a computer that didn't have a CD drive!!!!!!
I bought space on a discount web host. Most hosts have a clause forbidding use of the host as a back up drive. I started using VPS machines which do not have that clause; So, my current technique is to backup my VPS drive on my local computer and my local computer on the VPS drive.

Now for the main post. Every month I tally up my Hive/SteemIt empire. This is my last month's report.
I am basically 100% powered up in HIVE. Yesterday I gave 5 HIVE to the NFT for Peace initiative. I am not sure if that is considered powering down or what.
I've been on the blockchain for 53 moons. I have three accounts: @yintercept is a personal account. @vagabondspirit hosts a game that no-one is interested in playing and @irivers is owned by the community color project.
I was averaging only 0.02 per post until I bought 3000 HIVE. The best way to engage in HIVE is to just buy some crypto so your upvote has some value.
The table below shows the current value of my assets. The table used the prices: HIVE = $1.21,
STEEM = $0.414, TRX = $0.074 and BLURT = $0.0171.
The stats say that I've dropped about 3,500 posts and comments on the blockchain in these past 53 moons. I was earning 0.02 per post for the first few years. I bought 3000 HP and my average earnings per post is up to $0.20.
Sadly, many of the posts take me a full day to write. The real crazy thing is that I have upvoted about 20,000 posts. I usually read about 10 posts for each post I upvote. HIVE is taking up way too much of my time.

My last month's total was $6,064.95 USD; The bump in the price of HIVE increased my total by a thousand dollars. No-one knows which direction HIVE will go. You will see I have several hundred thousand invested in coins which have devalued to less than 0.00001 HIVE. I include them in the list to remind myself that it is possible for all of the coins to devalue to zero.
I drew the data for this second table from HiveStats. It shows my total number of posts, comments and upvotes. It shows that I get an average of about 20 cents per post ... plus my alt coins.

Future Goals
HiveBuzz says that my account is 97.5% of the way to becoming a dolphin. I think that this will happen in June or July. I think I will concentrate on building my BEE and LEO holdings in April. I would like to have 500 LEO, 200 BEE and 500 CENT.
I need to force myself to publish more posts.
