One of the most powerful explanations I have heard about the impact of cryptocurrencies on our world today is one that compares the rise of Youtube to this new revolution. Indeed, it is said that just as Youtube has allowed anyone to make a TV channel so now cryptocurrencies are allowing everyone to be their own bank, one at our fingertips.

The cryptographic projects in which this is most clearly seen are those related to the world of finance, which here are known as DeFi (Decentralized Finance) since they are based on the decentralized technology of the blockchain. There are many projects that belong to this area, from the most famous (such as UniSwap or PancakeSwap) to others less known and/or popular. In this post, I want to briefly review Step Finance which is in the Solana network and is at an interesting investment point.

The image of comparison of this project with a bank is not casual, since when entering it we can notice that an intuitive design for the user and a pleasant environment allows us to monitor and manage the assets we own within the Solana network, in addition to showing us the statistics of what we have working either in the liquidity pools and/or in the staking system in order to manage our risks more effectively helping us to create a profile in our investments.

Existen muchísimos proyectos que pertenecen a esta área, desde los mas famosos (como UniSwap o PancakeSwap) hasta otros menos conocidos y/o populares. En este post quiero reseñar brevemente a Step Finance que está en la red de Solana y se encuentra en un punto interesante de inversión.

La imagen de comparación de este proyecto con un banco no es casual, ya que al entrar en él podemos notar que desde un diseño intuitivo para el usuario y un entorno agradable nos permite monitorear y administrar los activos que poseamos dentro de la red de Solana, además de que nos muestra las estadística de lo que tengamos trabajando ya sea en los pools de liquidez y/o en el sistema de staking para así manejar de una manera más efectiva nuestros riesgos ayudándonos a crear un perfil en nuestras inversiones.

About the first one, we have to say that although its APR is minimal compared to other projects (currently around 8%) it is quite decentralized and scalable since this depends on the fees charged in the various services that the platform has and those that will continue to launch in the future. In addition, the token with which we do the staking (xStep) is planned to be used in other platforms and protocols, especially those related to lending systems.

Regarding farms, we have the opportunity to choose a pair of tokens that are lending the possibility of rewarding us with another pair or sometimes a single token. Here the important thing is to be aware that these farms are for a limited time.

Finally, there are two other very interesting options. One that allows us to see the various opportunities offered not only by Step Finance but also by other DeFi projects within the Solana network. The other is the charity support, from which we can contribute to charities or propose one that we are in charge of. In my case, I proposed one, let's wait and see how it goes, wish me luck.

Respecto a las farms, tenemos la oportunidad de elegir algún par de tokens que esté prestando la posibilidad de recompensarnos con algún otro par o a veces un solo token. Aquí lo importante es estar pendiente ya que estos farms son por tiempo limitado.

Finalmente, hay otras dos opciones muy interesantes. Una que nos permite ver las diversas oportunidades que ofrece no sólo Step Finance sino también otros proyectos DeFi dentro de la red de Solana. La otra es el apoyo a obras de caridad, desde la cual podemos aportar a obras benéficas o bien proponer alguna de la cual estemos al frente. No quisiera terminar esta reseña sin hacer referencia al hecho de que a pesar de que consideramos que Step Finance no vaya a ser el proyecto más famoso DeFi dentro de la red de Solana, ya la experiencia nos ha enseñado que pueden coexistir de muy buena manera varios proyectos de la misma índole.

Ahora bien, en este caso particular tenemos la ventaja de que es un proyecto con una capitalización de 142 millones, con una perspectiva de crecimiento sino como los grandes de hoy (tipo PancakeSwap) al menos como otros que están relacionados tales como BakerySwap que llegó a tener una capitalización mayor a los 1000 millones y que actualmente va por los 408 millones.
