Today marks the day I achieved a stake of 1,000 HIVE and LEO on my account. I am bullish about both of these tokens and I believe that they will do well in the future.
1,000 Hive Power (HP) Milestone
This is my current HP as of this morning and it shows that I finally have 1,000 Hive Power. As stated in the image, HP has a variety of uses:
- Increased curation rewards and higher valued votes
- More resource credits (needed to do any transaction on the HIVE block chain)
- Increased weight in proposals and witness votes
- Inflates at 3.34% currently even without doing anything
- Can be delegated out if you want passive returns in HIVE or Hive Engine tokens
I have also heard of an airdrop coming for the Speak Network going towards people who are staking HIVE as well.
1,000 LEO Power (LP) Milestone
LeoFinance is one of the communities that I engage with the most in the block chain. The LEO token is on ETH as wLEO and on BSC as bLEO. One of the ways you can earn LEO tokens is by making posts or commenting on LeoFinance. When people with LP vote on your content, you will get back some LEO in return.
Today I staked 125 LEO to in order to get 1,000 LP. There are also various reasons to stake some LEO and the current uses include:
- Increased curation rewards and higher valued votes in the community
- Airdrops to community holders such as CUB
- Delegate to @amr008.leo or @meowcurator if you want passive LEO returns. Alternatively @brofi if you want BRO tokens
Similar to HIVE, you can vote or delegate it out for returns. In the past they airdropped CUB and CINE tokens to stake holders in the community. The upcoming airdrops that I know of is Project Blank but I don't know when it will happen.
Project Blank is the new decentralized micro-blogging application they want to build on the HIVE blockchain and I think the current plan is to release it by the end of the year. It was suppose to be released earlier but I believe it was more difficult than expected and they shifted the focus onto Cub Finance.
For delegations, @amr008.leo upvotes comments made from the LeoFinance front-end as part of the his engagement project. Not only do you get dividends, you also support the community by getting more people on the community's website. He tries to add in some of the author rewards so the APR there might be greater than normal curation.
The second delegator @meowcurator is the first one to return LEO for LEO delegations and you can read more about it here. The last way I know of is to delegate it out to @brofi for BRO tokens. You can read more about the project here but BRO is a dividend token. It drips some tokens to you each day depending on how many you hold in your wallet.
Conclusion
With that I have accomplished my LEO goal for the month that I set in my HPUD. I plan on saving up for my monthly CUB deposit later this month. At the same time, I think that this also marks a milestone in the HP I hold.

Yea people are making progress every single day so long as they are active. It's also why I don't understand why people stop when prices go down because its the right time to build a position.

This is true, but we don't know the time frame. Im guessing late this year or early next year but then this promises to be big from all the announcement thus far. Nevertheless it's an incentive to build on hive here and Congratulations to you man, you've made a huge impact here.
Yea and the airdrop will drip over time. I am just wondering when the snapshot will be but I don't mind waiting as it just means I have more time to stack.

I always try to push myself. I just published this week's target updates. I am having a challenge balancing my time between all the communities but I will figure it out. I just need to keep trying different things that I can consistently keep on track.

Nice job on almost getting 2k LEO. I think HIVE is a nice thing to keep and I think the new hardfork will make it more attractive to pass on HIVE to your posts/comments.

That's great to hear! It's wonderful reaching the goals we set. At some point I had to decide how much to allocate to delegating vs powering up for curation. So I decided to split my resources between both and can't wait to (shortly) buy more! :)

Yea both of them are valuable and its tough to make the decisions. I think I might leave a base amount for curation and maybe delegate out the rest. For example in the SPORTS community, I am keeping a 1 million stake and delegating the rest to the engagement project.
