This is how the story unfolds.
It starts slowly at first, like a snowball rolling down a hill.
You look away for a bit and when you look back the snowball has gained size and mass and is now raging down the mountain out of control.

This is now the highest it has been since World War II.
Which was the previous highest levels ever.
