I had the incredible honor of interviewing @theycallmedan from https://3speak.online. Dan is a pro poker player, quora writer, investor and entrepreneur. He has quite a bit of experience in the crypto space and has weathered the storms of being an investor in volatile markets and being a poker player who needs to manage a finite bankroll.

Dan is the Co-Founder of 3speak.online - a decentralized video streaming service built on the Steem blockchain. 3speak is providing a safe, secure and censorship-resistant platform to video content creators. In a world of uncertainty coming from centralized web 2.0 sites such as YouTube, 3speak is providing a much needed sense of security and ownership to content creators across the globe.

This is just the beginning for 3speak as a decentralized hub for video content. In this episode, Dan talks about many of the innovations happening at 3speak right now and in the near future.

I think that having these systems split accross chains IE your domain name may be on ETH with unstoppable domains, your account creation in steem your data storage on say for example SIA is what its all going to be about in the neae future! Youll be able to run sites without fear of being shut down, hidden, cutting off of funding and give rise to so much more opportunties for people

I think its the right time as the centralized sites show their hands and start to silence people and we see the dangers of not owning your data

Going to be an interesting next couple of years for development in the space and I feel plenty of room for pumps that will start a chain reaction

I think you're right on point. The web 3.0 movement is all about taking back ownership of the internet. The internet is going to go under radical reshaping to become something that is owned and operated by the people and for the people. It may take a long time for that to fully take shape, but that's what we're all striving for, imo.

Indeed it will take some time and it will require people to push for it and startups to develop in this space but i think it will get there eventually! Its all about effiecency and it seems like the more efficient approach

I do think that web 3.0s learning curve will be steep for most and its going to shitty for a while before people are willing to catch on

Was a fun talk, thanks for having me!

It was a ton of fun. Thanks for coming on Dan, you're a beast and are welcome to come back whenever you want!
