After debating it a bit internally as to how this sort of thing would be received by the community decided to pull the trigger and do a limited batch beta prelaunch initial public offering of a small, yet non-trivial amount of the HLSHARE asset amounting to no more than 10% total share count cap, with the remainder (90,000 HLSHARE) being withheld in reserve for being purchased through the site's exchange feature upon the launch of the Hive.Loans v0.1.0 public beta testing phase 1 coming this month. A total of 100,000 HLSHARE will exist with this amount of share entitling the holder to 20% of the Hive.Loans total site revenue paid out monthly directly into your Hive.Loans account.
The remaining 90,000 HLSHARE plus any left unsold from this offering ( unlikely ) will be put up on the Hive.Loans exchange at the same 1:1 price point. A single HLSHARE initial public offering price equates to 1 HIVE to purchase outright. The price of the "early Bird" offering both being offered here and on the Hive.Loans v0.1.0 public beta later this month will be the same, although if I'm allowed to speculate a bit I predict that a whale or two might snap them up and relist them at a higher price.
Shares Purchased Will Be Waiting for You on Beta Launch
Those purchasing these "Early Bird" shares will receive HLSHARE #1 through to #10,000 in addition to being added to an investor inclusion list built into the Hive.Loans site, which will function to distribute share bought in this pre-launch round to be instantly credited to their accounts upon logging into Hive.Loans the first time. When we go into v0.1.0 live site testing it will be from a fresh database and as long as you've purchased share here you'll effectively have them waiting for you ready to go from your first login onwards. This will allow holders to instantly start receiving calculations on their account server side that end up dictating the dividend at the end of the month.
Regardless of the site initially launching in a v0.1.0 public beta testing phase, all site fees and commissions will be in place and activated, meaning from day 1 after Hive.Loans goes live those with HLSHARE held in their account, not up for trade on the exchange, will begin accruing HIVE dividends from the various commission and service fees on the platform.
Additional HLSHARE Investor Information
The HLSHARE asset will be a freely tradable / exchangeable asset entitling the holder to a monthly dividend, paid at the end of each month after the monthly site revenue has been calculated. This HLSHARE asset was created with the intention of creating a fair and proper way of offering the HIVE community a way to grab a fair chunk of the Hive.Loans monthly revenue, while also serving to generate some capital for the sites further development such as mobile apps and updates.
HLSHARE will eventually be migrated over and made into a tradeable full fledge HSC-271 (ERC-271 typed NFT) token exhibiting governance and voting functionality on issues pertaining to the Hive.Loans service in the future on top of yielding a monthly dividend based on the sites revenue with each share entitling the user to 0.0002% of the Hive.Loans revenue for the month prior the shares were held. While the Hive Smart Chain and the HLSHARE migration from a strictly on site asset to a full fledged smart contract powered token is still a number of months out in the mean time the exchange on Hive.Loans will facilitate zero fee trading of the HLSHARE / HIVE asset pairing as it's first listed asset. You can purchase HLSHARE and if unhappy with your dividends after a few months or the price of them goes moonward and you wish to capitalize on this by selling some HLSHARE on the site's exchange then that is completely and totally supported on the platform.
This "Early Bird" initial offering will run until the 10,000 available HLSHARE have been sold or until this post finalizes it's payout, whichever comes first. While no rules shall be set in place to limit any investor from sweeping the whole lot up I ask you please be considerate and allow the community to share this initial piece of the Hive.Loans pie with the greater community rather than go full dragon.
Revenue Generators Used to Calculate Dividends
While a few investment vehicles will be present on Hive.Loans the HLSHARE asset entitles a holder to 0.0002% of the sites revenue per share, generated by the following fees or commissions on site:
- Lending Contract Creation Fees
- Lending Contract Commission Fees
- Lending Contract Cancellation Fees
- Lending Contract Tampering Fines Fees
- Site Withdraw Fees
20% of the sites monthly revenue will be distributed to HLSHARE holders on all held shares, this does not however include HLSHARE that have been put into exchange market trade orders as they are removed from the calculation as when the asset is in an order it's technically in escrow and not held by the user selling them. While during the first wing of beta testing there will be some limits in place on site to prevent massive amounts of capital making its way onto what will effectively be public testing of experimental software utilizing completely new lending models not seen elsewhere, once we move out of beta testing and to full launch mode without the testing restrictions the amount of site volume and thus the fees it generates to be paid out in dividends at the end of each month should grow drastically. It's impossible to say what sort of returns we'll see in beta testing and in the subsequent full launch phases, but something tells me it will very likely be one of the highest ranked sites in terms of sheer volume being put through the site in the HIVE ecosystem.

Heheh, I appreciate you leaving it open to others for atleast the next 12-16 hours so everyone gets a chance to see it and decide if they want the early bird shares or if they will wait till the beta test phase launch. If by the end of the day there is still straggler shares available I won't get too upset if someone like yourself snaps them up.
The build is going good for for sure, to that point where it's only the really small stuff and the really tricky stuff needs to be polished. Luckily with these shares serving to get a bit of capital backing in the project I'll maybe get lucky and find some junior devs or experienced mobile app devs to come in and give me a hand provided they have time and the budget supports their wages / work compensation. :)
The Mobile versioning needs attention badly, but out of fear of completely burning myself out with frustration trying to fix it up, it'll likely be cheaper stress, time and capital wise for me to bring in some talent from within the community to help get that stuff in a closer to production state.
I'm no damn prestigious GUI designer, I'm sure someone will be able to come in eventually and bring the thing up to looking like the cutting edge first of it's kind lending platform / web application because lord knows my time is better spent building the stuff people don't see on the server side and let someone who actually enjoys doing UI stuff come in.

Had to take a double take on that deposit to make sure my system wasn't throwing wrong numbers. As it sits currently you're majority shareholder and should yield a monthly revenue dividend along the lines of 0.3% the services total revenue. While that seems like a low number, and while we're testing the volume and site balances will be limited, but once the testing goes well and we open the site up to free for all, as much as you can throw at it type lending, CFD trading and site bankrolling that current holding of yours matched with millions of HIVE going through the site monthly could end up being a substantial amount.
Ultimately I'd love to see the HLSHARE asset pay itself off upfront cost wise in ~6 months or so, then after that they are effectively money printers for the long HODLers..
Also suspect once things really take off and HSC gets brought into play with the service and we get proper HIVE based "DeFi" and cross network interoperability going it's not out of the realm of possibility that we see HIVE prices start to shift up towards >$50 USD a pop. Gunning to knock binance off their throne of centralized bullshit and give this massive wave of adoption we see happening alternatives with stronger fundementals and less costs.
The last half of 2021 is going to be quite exciting around here I think.
Appreciate the show of massive support and also that you left some share in this round for others. As I'd mentioned to d-pend if you guys could hold off buying it all up to let the smaller investors pick some up I'd really appreciate it.. But if there are still shares available in like 12 - 16 hours I'll not be terribly upset if someone scoops them.. At the very least a full day was given by the whale / orca investors for the smaller fish to get a bite before they swallow this test of the waters.

That sounds like an amazing ROI, but also quite normal compared to the possibility of a total loss of the capital. The risk we are all willingly to take (or at least we should be xD). But I think this will be a success (hence the investment).
😅 I have to admit that I'm using a binance debit card with cashback, which is so great. And the ROI of the invested token with the latest upwards trend is outstanding. Losing it all was never an option, if I was doing this to enrich only myself I'd be taking what I'm building on this flavour of graphene and grafting it onto every other possible chain. I don't do this because money isn't my driving factor, the true reason behind what I do is to make the members of our community more prosperous and live better lives.
I have dabbled a bit with binance, besides the whole CZ helping the steem takeover drama the reason I'm not a huge fan is because their set up in a way that they show next to no responsibility of quality service to their customers.. And are likely just pocketing crypto that is being addressed in help desk tickets rather than fielding a proper customer service wing to effectively return glitched or bugged wealth.. It's a subtle long con / scam in my opinion. They can afford to provide a normal level of customer service, they don't because it's more profitable to neglect any form of responsibility in taking care of their userbase.
lol, I appreciate the honesty on the fact you threw what you had liquid at it. Even if you had bought it all out I couldn't have been angry about it, as I'd no intentions of telling folks they could only have a capped amount, that is not my place to dictate, at best all I can do is ask people to "share" and hope they show some thoughts of others being able to benefit off of things as well as themselves. I'm not always the most thoughtful individual but I try to keep things fair between the different classes / castes present in our community.
I have my script just running in a console window on my desktop / workstation. But you could totally run it on basically any box with a ssh console / bash / cmd console that supports NodeJS. A raspberry Pi would be more than enough run the script. I might throw in some functionality to monitor the script to restart it on crashes or push runtime metrics. It's difficult to find a VPN or web box that is free that allows you to install things.. It might be worth while if you're looking to run persistent scripts 24/7 and have IPV6 support to check out a $0.99 cent Privex.io VPN if you're not in possession of a computer or raspberry Pi locally that you can run at all times to field your scripts. You can check if you have IPV6 connectivity here: https://myip.privex.io/
The simple voting scripts could effectively run on any ubuntu or linux web box / VPN capable of running NodeJS, or even a small raspberry pi. If you're looking to get a script customized to suit your needs, if it's a trivial edit I'll gladly do it free provided it's a less than 10 minute job. If it's a more demanding custom script then I end up moving up to $20 an hour spent on it, which is my buddy rate, I generally charge clients on linked in $40 - $60 an hour or more depending on the work contract they are trying to get me hired for.
That hbd.funder-sniper script is a decent start for simple monitoring and function execution against specified input or operations.. I've got some more "heavy duty" block monitoring stuff built as well, but for simple vote scripts it's entirely overkill.
Are you wishing to offer the voting to others or just your own accounts? It gets a bit more complicated when you start getting external users signing things as they either need to have the private keys given to the server to allow for the account privilege's to be accessed by the script.. Or you have to have them sit on a page that effectively automates calls to keychain, but if that tab gets closed the service can no longer get signed transactions from the user and thus stops working.
NodeJS is my go to, but if you're doing a bunch of number handling I would go with python. The floating point integer method used by Javascript can be lacking in resolution for certain things. rewarding.app? I know a service called reward.app was running for a bit.. I'm actually going to look into getting swap.app going again here today as cardboard expressed that he'd be ok with passing the torch to me to run that service. If the reward.app code was available and feasible to run without a huge uptick in my budget I'll gladly do it.
if you have a need for a web app to be done up or a persistent service like swap.app set up we can likely work something out to get it into reality in a way that doesn't cost either of is a bunch of time or money. All depends on what you want really. I have a shit ton of code laying around that can be used to rapidly bootstrap proof of concepts for new services. What needs built or hosted, if it's feasible it's sort of my obligation to the community to offer it.

But you're right, the customer service is quite annoying. I have multiple charges on the card which have been declined by the merchant and they are like "We can do nothing until proven otherwise." Get your system together to see those declines, damnit!
But to be fair: Where is customer service a thing, or, even good? I know only so few places xD.

Oh and www.rewarding.app is a website run by @holger80, a service where you can setup up rules (more complex ones than on hive.vote) for voting. Quite useful. The service is still casting votes, but we cannot login anymore. Keychain is not popping up for the request to sign in. Dunno why.

Yeah. I did yours manually as you asked nicely, even though the instructions at the bottom of the post have the memo specified in one way.. Just helps the computer do most the math and heavy lifting instead of me having to figure it all out every time.

No need to congratulate me captain. We should congratulate the community for supporting my just crazy enough to work idea.
I think the lending feature with the newly formed account as collateral model behind it is going to be a MASSIVE game changer for the whole HIVE ecosystem. Even if I'm exhausted from loooooong hours coding, I know that it will be worth it just to allow the community the ability to move in and out of the market 9x faster than was previously possible. :)

I accidentally sent 3 HIVE to you with the wrong memo. ( I used HILSHARES instead of HILSHARE)
All of them got credited to your main account, I just went off pictures and only realized after it was 2 seperate accounts.
Can split em up if you want though

I think it's awesome HIVE is a platform where I can build stuff like this. Not every crypto network has the required functions to do this sort of thing baked in to it's core. :)

The constraint everyone has held is quite impressive, although I didn't expect this many people in the slightest.
As a little side project going to flesh out the post as an offering of asset aspect into things to make it seamless. Not super high up on the to-do list as lots in front of it needs done first.. But could be a nice revenue avenue and awareness tool. All in due time I guess.

You have my first 100 correct:

However, there's a mistake with the second. You have it listed as:
@evernoticethat: 150 HLSHARE (6857)
Which makes it look as if I only purchased one share, when it should be:
@evernoticethat: 150 HLSHARE (#6857 - #7006)
This also means that the people below me Dagger and Dpend also have the incorrect place numbers. I assume you'll fix this when you see it. It may seem like a minor thing, but I don't want the offical ledger to start out with an incorrect value. For instance, Dagger's should start at 7007 instead of 6858 etc. Thanks. :)

Although have half a mind to go pull a list from the very first block it was posted and tally that list against the one on the post just to double check.
