☆ TO BE INTENTIONAL
Last Month, I decided to be intentional and conscious of my Hive Second Layer Tokens. Not only that, I also decided that I will devote one day in the month (preferably before the end of the Month) to power up most of my Hive Second Layer Tokens. This will help me track my progress and will help me to easily assess how far I have gone in creating quality content on different niches. This will also help me to assess how well I earned author and curation rewards of these tokens, or how well I won them at contests, received them as tips or bought them from the Hive Engine.
Hence, in this post I will assess my performance, progress and how well I stack up these tokens.

☆ HOW DO I GET THESE TOKENS?
As a reminder, to get these tokens you can adopt the following methods:
- Use the right Tribe tags for each post, and produce quality content.
- Participate in Contests and win them.
- Purchase them using Hive from leodex, Hive-engine or beeswap.
Do Well to DYOR (Do Your Own Research) before investing in any crypto asset.
☆ A SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER
For the month of September, here are what I received as Liquid and staked for my Hive Second Layer Tokens. I shall power them up, and assess the progress in the paragraphs below.
The tokens on the list are the tokens from the tribe tokens tag I use regularly in my posts. Also, LEO will only be Staked on Leo Power Up Day (LPUD).

Overall, all second layer tokens on my Hive Engine wallet experienced steady growth. Whereas some tokens like LEO, POB, CTP and WAIV experienced tremendous growth, others like SPT, CINE and CCC experienced slight increase. This was largely because, on the one hand, I wrote more posts that were financial related in this month and I participated in LEO Contests. On the other hand, the reason for the decline in SPT was that I haven't written any Splinterlands content for a while.
However, in as much as the quantity of these tokens increased, the value experienced a huge decline because of the recent downward movement of the entire crypto Market. I hope Uptober will be a better month and we will see an increase in value of these tokens.
In all, staking up or powering up these tokens has increased the quantity I receive as curation reward and this also helps in stacking up my tokens.
I encourage you to do the same and take note of the progress of your second layer tokens on Hive. Pay more attention to your Hive Second Layer Tokens, no matter how small they are now. You may be surprised at what the future holds for them.
