well console gamers are dead anyways.
Microsoft is going the way of Sega.
The only "console" left will be Sony.
Gamers have moved on.
If a game can not be played any where on any screen no one under 25 wants to touch it.

however, I do also see the market for a console/computer hybrid. for people that want to pc game but don't want to build or figure out what to buy... The steam machine will be perfect

exactly. No one wants to build a pc.
people just want devices that work.
that is why the phone always wins over the computer with the masses.

agreed the steam machine solves this.

console gaming is alive and well I'd argue. it's just going to be Sony and Nintendo. that market is and always will be huge. PS remote play allows me to game anywhere on my iPad or whatever device. Switch is designed mobile first.

So yes older than 25 will play on their console but those gamers age out.
