I am truly amazed at the number of people who make videos about financial and economic matters who believe the Fed, by quantitative easing, actually create US Dollars. You would think a simply visit to Investopedia, or even Wikipedia, would clarify things.

That is why the masses are usually wrong. They believe in stuff that simply is not true.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You just described the world and every sector unfortunately and when you speak the truth, you're the crazy one lol.

If you are one step ahead of everyone else, you are a genius; if you are two steps, you are crazy. LOL

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hahaha oh man, that is so true. I can show you a heap of times where I was a decade a head of everyone else. Although you would probably had agreed with me. Alot of your articles and Advocacy is what I've been saying for a good decade and it's slowly but surely coming true.

That is why the masses are usually wrong and that's also why they are so easy to manipulate.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Very true. They are usually on the wrong side because they listen the the mainstream media and only pay attention to headlines.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

They do so because that is what the news usually reports. It's the safer option for most of them and the short term moves usually are true.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Most people are lemmings. To some extent though, it's not their fault. Most people have busy lives and spend the vast majority of the day just trying to get to the next one. The politicians and mainstream media take advantage of this fact by hammering home their false narratives in the little windows people have to get their news. It really is shameful.

Watching Collateral with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. Cruise can act when he wants to. Damn it's a good movie!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

This movie was so good in theaters that I bought the DVD when I found it some years later. That's my favorite Tom Cruise movie-- and he's the villain!

Collateral > (any Mission: Impossible movie)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Mine too, you forget you're watching Tom Cruise as he just falls into the chracter. He doesn't look, talk, or even walk like TC.

I remember reading an interview about the making of it, where the director wanted to push him out of his comfort zone. They even went so far as to change the way he walks in the film, and all of the little mannerisms that make up a person. Director Michael Mann thought he could pull it off, and he did.

Reminds me of Tom Hanks in The Green Mile. The acting is so good, you forget it's Tom Hanks.

The polar opposite to that are Will Smith, who's Will Smith in every movie, and Dwayne Johnson who's Dwayne Johnson in every movie. (no acting required). See Smith in the movie Seven Pounds on the other hand, and you forget it's Will Smith, the acting is on point.

See him in Hancock, and he's back to being The Fresh Prince once again. I wonder how much of that is the director, and how much the actor, as I know the director set out to change everything about TC in Collateral.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Michael Mann succeeded with Tom Cruise in Collateral, but I think he failed with Jaime Foxx in Miami Vice. Jaime Foxx was great in Collateral as well, but he tried too hard to not be like the character from the 1980s series and it showed.

Now imagine if Tom Cruise and Jaime Foxx had their roles switched. I think I recall Jaime Foxx saying in an interview about Collateral that he had the opportunity to choose either the taxi driver role or the hitman role and Tom Cruise would have ben left with the other role. Even if Jamie Foxx could have been great as the hitman, I can't see Tom Cruise as the taxi driver.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I haven't seen Vice, but one wonders why he wouldn't want to be somewhat like that character who helped make the show.

I'm sitting here trying to picture the roles reversed, and I can't see how it would work. Whoever offered Jamie Foxx that, must've been smoking crack, or maybe it was before TC was cast.

Sans Foxx, you know who I could see as the driver? Shia LaBeouf. I know, he's controversial and a little "out there" but he looks like a loopy cab driver. I could see him and Cruise in a buddy movie where they turn against each other halfway through. The only question is, which one would be the villian?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

In many ways, the 2006 movie couldn't be like the 1980s series. While the series was more in-you-face, the movie was more nuanced. None of the movie characters were like their counterparts from the series.

While Michael Mann is most famous for Miami Vice the series, he opted for a different style for his movie.

Jamie Foxx didn't want to be like Phillip Michael Thomas in the series (so no Cadillac convertible), but he tried not to make Rico Tubbs into another Jaime Foxx. His version of Rico Tubbs was OK, but it showed he was trying too hard.

Like Casino Royale (my favorite Daniel Craig-era 007 movie), when Miami Vice was released in 2006 smartphones hadn't been in use by the masses. Should there be another Miami Vice movie, it can include a scene or two involving cryptocurrency.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

By the time 2006 rolled around, people's sensibilities changed. The 1980s were an unapologetic time in the country for everyone across the spectrum. By 2006, PC culture was hanging over everything being done, and that affected the acting and cinema choices as well. Jamie Foxx isn't Dave Chapelle or 2020 Eddie Murphy, but he's no Richard Pryor, either.

As for the casting choices, Michael Mann gave Jaime Foxx firts dibs over Tom Cruise. Both were going to get the roles, but neither knew who would get which role.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I thought Will Smith was really good in Happy. I think that was the name of it...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

True that!
He's done many crappy movies but the ones that are good are usually very good

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Looks like LBI is becoming hot property.

Yea, what's going on with that?

I've been a little out of the loop lately and suddenly I noticed a lot of posts about it!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Not much, someone sold and some of us bought.

Seems someone wanted to dump a lot for cheap. A few people were able to scoop up a bunch.

Not sure what else is going on other than our weekly building.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, I picked up a few which was awesome.

Well, it was on a fire sale there for a couple days. But most of it has now been scooped up. Back trading above the LEO price.

It was nice to see that there actually is some liquidity there though. You might not be able to sell for what it's worth, but at least the guy got it sold.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah that's true, I did pick up a few hundred of them which was a great deal

This will accomplish nothing in the end but I always enjoy watching Facebook getting into trouble.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Facebook needs their balls cut off. Zuckerberg is looking to wall everything up and monopolize.

Anything that entity is in control of will end up bad news for everyone else.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

2 things could have happened:

  • FB (Meta?) hadn't learned the lessons of AOL in the 1990s and 2000s. AOL was growing big, fast, and it wanted to keep everyone within its ecosystem. It reached Peak AOL when it bought Time Warner Communications, then it was forced to sell Time Warner Communications.

  • FB (Meta?) had learned the wrong lessons. It thinks it knows enough to avoid the pitfalls of AOL, only to discover that those lessons don't apply to the 2020s.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That would be interesting to look at and I wouldn't be surprised if they were violating something. We have so many laws (some outdated) that nobody can really say they are following the law 100%

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It seems everyone is trying to guess which way the markets are planning to move? Will they go up, or down? For now, we are just sideways.

Now we are to the weekend. BTC tends to move up over the weekend I noticed but no guarantees.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Long term UP :) but yeah weekend 9/10 are downward trends of course whenever you think that's what's going to happen it almost always does the opposite lol

It's a bit of a stagnant run but there are a few projects doing well. Secret on the back if Miramax and Tarantino NFT rights has seen the token rise 16% in 24 hrs. That's a pretty decent hike.

I'll repeat my question from yesterday: $30k or $50k?

The answer is "Yes".

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

REMINDER!!!

Get your #CANDIES.

If you get a billion, you might become a billionaire.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Got 30 for today. Hope I won't restart from beginning again. Been a while I've got 100 candies.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

over 12k now!

Candies grabbed
Hopefully I'll remember to do it everyday this week

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Even if we claim 100 CANDIES daily, it would take 10 million days to reach 1B CANDIES. Divide that by 365.25 (to account for Leap Years), that's approximately 27,378.507~871~321~01 years.

I understand the sentiment toward the free CANDIES, but for becoming a billionaire with a billion of the things we're better off going with something like Shiba Inu. Yes, money would need to be spent, but a few moves of the decimal point to the left can do wonders to one's wallet even if it's still worth less than a cent.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I got my 30 candies for the day. I forgot to visit the post last night so I am glad I got them before they reset.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Done as always. I'm not going to lie, it's not quite as fun now that I'm basically starting over from scratch. For a while there is was enjoyable watching them get closer and closer to 10k. Now it's a grind again. Won't stop me from collecting them though... :-)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Did you use them to get something?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lawmakers in Britain feel that a CBDC will hurt financial stability. They believe the advantages are overblown. This is something that might help the industry.

This is worth watching. I am interested in what the Fed comes out with. Are they going to give a report on a true CBDC, one that banks use, or one for politicians, which is for the American citizens?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I feel they are going to go with a report on one for politicians because it is easier to shill to the American citizens.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Even with the massive inflow of other players in the streaming market, Netflix is raising its prices again. They must be very confident in their business.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am not very optimistic about the streaming market because there are just way too many options. I don't think anyone in their right mind would scribe all the time to every single streaming service.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea I agree... so many options now

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If inflation continues to eat away at people's purchasing power, streaming services could be one of the first things to go. It's low-hanging fruit for the budget-conscious when times are tight. 2022 through 2024 could be kidney stone-painful for the streaming services.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's sad news for their low budget streamer.

Would there be a time where we'll have decentralized streaming platform in the future. That might be a better solution to all this.

I don't like streaming tho but it's something to take note of, there are a lot of people hooked on streaming platforms all day. Idk if 3speak can get something like that done in the future

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's a good point. I don't know if 3speak can do something bout it in the future but it's an interesting possibility

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I think the low budget person will just avoid watching it from the service. There are a ton of aggregate sites out there and you can usually find things if you look hard enough.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There are a ton of aggregate sites out there and you can usually find things if you look hard enough

No doubt about that.

I have few of those sites myself, I can easily download series and movies without having to look elsewhere.

Even with Netflix standard.

The streaming platforms are overrated

I saw this notification a few moments ago. How true is the claim it makes?

Did you know that you can get rewarded for your witness vote? Cast your witness vote on @earn.hive and start to receive HIVE tokens everyday.

@earn.hive -> @magnacarta

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don’t about this but this actually make sense

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't know anything about that witness so I can't whether that's true or not... I'll try and find out

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think its probably a scam and I wouldn't vote for this witness. It just seems like they don't have faith attracting people normally to their witness.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I already voted for 29 witnesses, and #30 will be someone I know about. I don't mind taking the 0.001 HIVE if he's willing to give it away, but it's not enough to get my vote.

10 HIVE? Then I'll think about it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Pretty sure it's true. I've seen people who want you to delegate them your WorkerBees and you get paid.

You should look into it further and report back...lol

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's possible this could be the source of the 0.007 SEX I was gifted the other day.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Splinterlands general sale is around the corner. Does anyone think the packs will last for more than 24 hours?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

PSYBER X COMING TO HIVE

Soooo... Anyone knows something about this game that is supposedly coming to Hive? A bit too ambitious innit?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I've been following them on Discord for some time. It looks like it's going to be pretty cool if they can deliver what they have been showcasing

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't think so. It looks pretty real to me. The devs behind it seem to have some pretty good experience with building things like this but, we'll find out.

I literally posted about it this morning...

https://leofinance.io/@dagger212/psyberx-continues-it-s-march-towards-release-a-play2earn-fps-on-the-blockchain-yes-please

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Thanks! It just seemed too good to be true so my natural response is doubt.

Great article btw. Gonna need to look into those LVL tokens asap.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol, didn't mean to post the previous comment as a reply... Sorry about that.

And since I'm here, how would it run out? There are like 15M packs available. Is it divided into sets of 1M per sale?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There's just that much hype around it's release. The devs would like to see them last for a couple months at least. I just don't think it's going to happen. Personal opinion...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No worries hehe

I don't know, people just seem crazy about Splinterlands so I was afraid they would go in a matter of hours...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes I think it will last more than 24 hours because there are just way too many packs. Prices have dropped down a lot and I don't think people are that hyped to buy anymore.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hmm cool

I might be able to get some then. I was worried that a few whales would wipe them clean but maybe not then

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I do, if for no other reason than that if 12M packs are being sold and opened in that short of a time-period, the website will crash. lol

Personally, I think it will have a huge day 1 and day 2, and then it will take about a week to sell out. Just my opinion.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

hehe yea that makes sense

I hope I can grab a few at least... didn't bother spending on vouchers during the pre-sale but I'd still like to get some packs on general sale

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
