Cyber Monday’s online-only sales dropped 1.4% this year (2021) compared to last year (2020). Consumers spent US$ 10.7 billion, down from US$ 10.8 billion last year. This is the first time something like this has occurred.

Experts have stated that this decrease of spending on Cyber Monday this year, could be a sign that consumers could be spreading their holiday spending over several weeks. Adobe reported that from November 1, 2021 through Cyber Monday (November 29, 2021), Americans spent US$ 109.8 billion online, representing an 11.9% increase compared to 2020.

Cyber Monday was a temporary phenomena.

In the early days of the Internet, most people did not have home access to the Web.

Consumers would go shopping at stores on Black Friday. If they didn't find what they wanted, they would use their office computer to shop online on the first Monday after Thanksgiving.

Most people have access to their Internet at home and most businesses have policies against shopping on their time with their equipment.

There is no longer a logical reason to shop on Cyber Monday ... other than gimmicks.

Cyber Monday sale reports have been meaningless for quite some time.

The biggest online shopping day usually takes place in mid December. Supply chain fears might have people moving up their shopping plans.

11.9% growth in 1 year that seems too big. Which costs about US $ 109.8 billion online. It seems to me that this indicates more spending in the future.

Cyber Monday’s online-only sales dropped 1.4% this year (2021) compared to last year (2020).

Maybe it has something to do with the pandemic so there is a very significant decline.
