I take 5 and 5 balls. I find out which 5 are heavier. From those, I select 4 that I think weigh the same. The fifth is then, in my opinion, the heaviest...
So I am lost :-).Why is on this picture 10 balls?Nevermind. With 8 it is the same 8/2=>4/2 get the right one out of two-not a problem. Or you can do it with 3,3,2 balls - 1 st step 3-3,from heavier get out one ball. Then do steps as in my👆
I can only use the balance scale twice, right? In that case, I first divide the balls into 3 groups, 3 balls in two groups and the remaining 2 in the third group. Next, I place the first two groups with 3 balls on the balance scale, if the heavier ball is in any of the two the side would tip lower than the other side, and I will easily pick out the heavier ball from the 3 in the group. But if the balance is even, then the heavier ball is in the third group of 2 balls, which can easily be identified using the balance scale with 1 ball on each side of the scale.

...When I put two and two on the scale and the scale remains level, the unweighed ball I selected is indeed the heaviest....
...If, by chance, the weight of 2 and 2 balls is not equal, I will take the two heavier balls in my hands and compare them with each other.
