there is another way i remember now. you can also buy GLD nfts directly with icp using an internet identity. i have not done this but you are not limited by the liquidity in gldt markets that way. you can either hold the gold nft, or convert it into gldt.
the internet identity can be sold on the open market, and is not tied to any personal information. it is tied to the device you are using to access it though, which is how the passkeys work on icp. but anyone with your recovery phrase could steal your icp account from you, much like on any other blockchain.
