@hive.pizza community made a pool where the community could decide the best HBD APR for their witness last year.
IMO, that's a fantastic approach as they are voting for their witness vote and they have a "right" to decide where to go... We have tried something similar with our @liotes mission post where we asked the community what they are thinking about the HBD APR... and we will act accordingly to receive replies...
The top 20 witnesses don't own HIVE, but all Hivians... Nobody is above someone else, despite coding for hours for HIVE... Someone engages for hours and helps onboarding people... that's no less valuable job than coding...
Perfect!!! Good job! I only met liotes not a while ago, I am always mad at myself that I don't know everything in Hive and every time I discover something new. It is something pretty different from regular communities, I mean by the way of interact with your community it is innovative ( at least it is my first time seeing this type of engagement, maybe there is something else but I don't know). But getting hundreds of reply it is something big and proves the good engagement that you guys cause. In addition you guys prompted this post together with the other post that I mentioned plus one or more DMs in Discord.
That is very good to hear from you! That's what I am trying to do, I don't code for Hive, for now at least. But I have my ideas and also contributions to the blockchain, I feel and the live hive is not like a regular cold investment but as a part of a community, like a club that can grow but with the help of the users. Onboarding is a way, and retention of users is another, also a new idea for communities to create engagement ( that also goes back to onboarding/retention). I have some ideas that I want to implement around here but still trying to get more mature before spreading.
