The sound alarm for 20% has resonated loud in the mind of all Hivers. You shall see how many upvotes the initial post had gathered. It is something to keep HBD in the timeline for the foreseeable future. What got me pump up is the fact many witnesses has responded to the call. It is all the witnesses that need to make it happen. Otherwise let us enjoy 15%
The timing is right if you are holding #HBD. Right now it is gathering steam around 15% before it touches down at 20. While happiness is among us, we have to think about the intricacies of the interest to the blockchain. First not everyone sees the long term goal for the benefit of many.
It does not have to be this way. I am sure if we sustain 12% and growing, 20% will enhance value all around. Half of the top 20 witnesses already voted for 20%. This could be why the blockchain balances itself at 15%.
Second let's think positive. It will enable a streak of holders for Hive and HBD. Having a lot more investors thinking about HBD will definitely put pressure for Hive token to rise. Just do the math and you will see the value of this blockchain. Many will park their funds within the blockchain giving Hive the silhouette it has been looking for. It could be the leap to $100 million for HBD alone.
HBD at 20% will open the gate for more liquidity for Hive. You may ask yourself should I hold Hive?
It will be tough to get that percentage by upvoting curating and posting altogether. It is a fait accompli with HBD. So you may see many power down Hive to go after HBD. It is a good thing. It will help Hive to become more deflationary in the short term.
Now since there will be less Hivers holding Hive powered it is beneficial for the ones maintaining their HP strong. More Hive when you curate and upvote. Either way it is a win on top of a win for the whole blockchain. Keep in mind HBD as a stable coin has the advantage of keeping its value all year long. More HBD will force other exchanges to add it to the trading block keeping Hive at bay.
In the meantime I will continue to hold and see how deep is the HBD hole will lead.

It really is an exciting thing. I found myself ready to put my HBD into savings (i don't have much) but I wondering about the hbd kingdom coming to polygon and earning there. Although I always do better just holding my hive/hbd and leo. I don't think I do the farming thing correctly lol. I just hope it brings more people to hive.

Although I'm excited about the raise I also see a risk. You mention less people will be holding Hive. This means people will get less Hive with the upvotes they are receiving too. Unless it are upvotes from those who still have Hive.
It is the other way around. The ones that hold Hive powered will hold more getting more Hive in return.
Hivers will try to see which way is better.
Both ways are really good as long you plan long term and short term.
Long term does have an advantage cause you know where Hive is heading.
I am planning to hold both and reap as much as possible.

My thoughts is that 15% is more than okay, it was good at 12% 15 is flattering, but then, wouldn't this affect Hive the token? Would people still feel Incentivized enough to hold Hive power? 20% is a risky move

Risky is what crypto stands for.
It is creativity at its best.
As long Hivers hold and put pressure on Hive
we will win.
Now others might dump HBD for Hive after couple months.
It is risky and risk takers will hand up feeling better long term.
