That is up to you. Original stuff will have a higher chance of getting upvotes. Personally I'm of the opinion that MEMEs are meant to be shared so I'll upvote any meme that I think has substance/makes me laugh. I usually give higher upvotes for posts that contain more than just a MEME. If its not a generic meme that you are reusing I would suggest supplying a source.
