I may be crazy but I just bought some Hive!

in LeoFinance3 years ago

I may be crazy but I've bought a little bit more Hive recently - only 1200 or so, but I just couldn't resist what to my mind are the low, low prices.

I'm now up to 61K Hive Power - I remember looking at accounts who had THAT MUCH Hive a few years back agog thinking about just HOW MUCH that was, now it doesn't seem like so much at all, probably because Hive is now $0.12 rather than $4.00.

I've no idea whether the Hive price will go up from here to $0.20 or $1.00 or more, or whether it will go down or just shrug its shoulders and limp along at around $0.11 for the rest of 2021 and beyond - crypto markets are fickle, after all!

But to me $0.12 feels cheap, lower than a 200 market cap ranking feels derisory, and all in all Hive just feels undervalued.

I have this feeling that when more people start to dig around and explore the crypto space beyond Bitcoin, in the context of rising mistrust of governments and deepening crisis in the fiat economy, Hive is going to stand out as one of the higher utility platforms and tokens.

I mean let's face it - there is no other platform where you can stake, get rewarded for blogging and for playing games and make instant crypto transfers for free, this place just oozes utility.

So maybe I'm crazy, but I think another 1200 Hive at these current prices is not too much of a risk!

Then again maybe people will run a mile when they realise that this crappy blockchain persistently throws up faults like images failing to upload and the price will crash to zero.

I just bought some too! Only about 600 or so, but it is 600 more than I had. I moved some of it into Leo and then I took the rest and I powered it up!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Congratulations, hopefully we're buying the low! i know other people who are starting to buy again too.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is really cool. Best of luck to all of us!

Certainly the perfect article to have your images not loading on... :D

That said, I'm thinking about stocking up Hive again myself. I feel like the time to buy more LEO is over for now and Hive certainly is undervalued...

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I've started selling a little LEO for Hive - 4-1 also feels like a good price.

I hate it when people knock Hive - LEO is nothing ATM without it!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Congrats! I wouldn't say you are crazy as I believe in Hive too. The platform has a lot of potential. I remember years ago when Hive dropped to $0.75, all day every day you could see posts about how many Hive people powered up.
Your investment is way better. I only have half, but one day next year I hope to reach your level of today :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It does feel cheap! Sometimes I might even have to start researching all the shitcoins which are higher than Hive to make a point!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I guess it's time for a power up then. It's true that is undervalued as it is now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I'd recommend it, but as always, that's not financial advice!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Crazy in your coconut 😉... not really. I powered up 1.5 k the other day to reach 13k HP and it wasn't even HPUD day.

Hey congratulations on your power up, helps to know I'm not the only crazy fool out here!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hey congratulations on your power up

Cheers

Well, as the song says...

"Tighten your buttocks, pour juice on your chin, I promised my girlfriend I'd learn the violin!"

You gotta ne a special kind of crazy to be in this crypto world at all 😂

It is good to save the money into a stable coin in times of market corrections.

Joke aside, it is a smart think to do, as it has potential to grow and if it does not grow, it can fall that hard.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It can't fall that hard.

You said it there!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Motivation to the max. I still hope it goes to a decent value, that is why I'm holding it. :)

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Then again maybe people will run a mile when they realise that this crappy blockchain persistently throws up faults like images failing to upload and the price will crash to zero.

LOL Except that isn't the blockchain. That is the image server which is likely AWS.

I dont think you are crazy for your decision. In fact, it is smart. Isn't the intent to try and buy low. Besides, that extra 1,200 HIVE can be powered up and used for other purposes. It enhances you influence on witness and proposal votes while also having more of a hand in token distribution from the blockchain.

My view is that many will look back with the "I Wish" when it comes to Hive just like they do right now with Leo.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah damn, yes of course you're right images aren't the blockchain!

It was a bit of a slack edition at the end there in frustration.

But it is happening a couple of times a week now.

It's smart if this is the bottom - but have you seen how few buy orders are in place on the exchanges?!? There's not a lot stopping it from going to 200 sats.

Still, 200, 300, who cares if goes back up to 7000 - I'm sure I remember selling some up there!

It really does feel so undervalued!

And part of the reason I bought SOME more is that at least I can say now (hopefully) 'I bought the low!'

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Not a bad idea in my opinion. People who are long term on Hive should be buying here. It might head a bit lower but we are somewhere near the big money entry point with price.

There is a level where some with deep pockets on here would absolutely load up on a ton of Hive. I do not know what the level is..7 cents? 5 cents? But there is a level where people will go crazy buying.

So I think there is a floor in place if for no other reason it would be a grand time for some applications to load up on Hive to get the RCs for their users.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes fair point - RCs are going to be like gold dust at some point!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I am growing in Hive slowly. Heck, I don't care if it's 12 cents or what not... from Hive I got it, to Hive it will be reinvested, hehehe!

That's what I've done all along!

I should have said 'I'm still buying Hive'!

Hehehe...

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Boa noite vizinho,

You're not crazy at all. I was close to actually sell some of my small Bitcoin holdings today to get myself a couple of thousand Hive today but decided otherwise. It helped that it's stored on my Ledger.

I'm awaiting a LEO power down, in a couple of days, and plan to buy some Hive - and possibly Bitcoin - with that ( don't tell anyone )

I feel we've finally entered the age of abundance and that was about time. I'm tired of being a Dolphin after such a long time in this space and plan to grow towards Orca hood soonish.

Ciao!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's nice having a fair wedge of Hive and LEO I must say, but I'm not selling any of my BTC!

If anything I'd like even more Bitcoin, but I'm pretty much at my fiat limit now for buying more crypto!

Best of luck on the road to Orca!

It was 'dying a slow death' not long ago... what changed your mind?

I did put a question mark on that.

And that was based on the existing data.

This is based on intuition.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You did the right thing . Even if HIVE price remains around 0.11$ you can still power up and get other tokens by just delegating it right? I bought some too buy just to invest in Dcity.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If it is going to go down I can't see it falling much further from here!

And you're right, it does have a lot of use cases.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Having a look at the buy and sell orders on the internal market I believe you've done a good move. I really have no clue how high will HIVE go this bull market but I think it has already bottomed and you will for sure be on profit.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Fingers crossed!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hive definitely is undervalued, and your investment will pay off in the future...I strongly believe it will

I hope so!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think this will pay off for you, but may take a year or two. The platform is building a good foundation for stability and scalability. We don't want new users to have a bad experience, but then the images are broken on this post :(

I would like to buy some more soon. A few hundred here and there will add up.

I think Hive's always been a long game! It's why I never buy huge amounts in one go!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Right... if you are I'm copying you..

Well it's always easier to copy, but that's not financial advice!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hahah I know, I promise I won't hunt you down and chastise you for making me lose all my money - I am a grown woman, most of the time!

Oh for goodness sake is everyone now buying HIVE? FINE!!! I guess I'll have to "look in to it" myself!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I'm with you on the feeling that Hive is really cheap at the moment and I'm also in the process of adding some more. Having been here in 2017 at the time when it was only a distant dream to be able to get (Steem) at 0.12$, I kinda don't want to be in a position where I didn't add a bit even though I have a hard time seeing the same cycle return. I do have an equally hard time seeing the price be lower a year from now given what is offered as a user experience. Then again, anything can happen in this market. 2021 will be interesting for sure

Good Luck!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Here's hoping to a nice little price rise in 2021 for both our sakes!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If you can't see the screenshot below, then it's showing your screenshot didn't load... which would be completely ironic!

And you might be above me now in HP terms, which some would say is the real reason you bought up another 1,200 HIVE!

To be fair though, if you have a spare £100 going, 1,200 HIVE is a good bargain and another load taken off the market. 300 sats is no joke though, I remember when we were saying how we thought 600 was cheap as chips!
