Yes to a huge extent, your right, but we all know there are inherit risks in crypto class only and unforeseen things can happen.

Its not that we trust this or that, its a better option for some people to be in decentralised structured rather than centralised but complete decentralisation never can be possible, we need developers and a head that stays around to oversee stuff.

Even democracy designed to prevent centralisation of power has failed in many countries of the world.

Who to trust. That is personal.

Some are strong in charactor, and trust themselves than GOD, and be the person who inspires others to feel that humanity exists in the world.

Anyway... how true that nothing is certain in the world, but its hard to accept that, there are many things out of our control that we cannot worry about.

These are very good points and worth the further discussion. You are correct that we are placing our trust in code, and it is not trustless it is just trusting less. I often think about the solar flares aspect, but if that happens we will have much bigger problems to solve. Hopefully we can figure out those problems, before 2024-25 when we get some big solar flares.

Honestly some thought-provoking points here. I think a lot of that trust is subconscious in reality, making things all the more complicated. I actually recently had a solar flare conversation with a friend inquiring about Bitcoin. Quite interesting that I was not the only one thinking of this, but yeah other than a large scale and budget attack that's the only way of wiping away Bitcoin. Still something to consider though

Trust without transparency is a fools errand.

There is no transparency here on hive (for example) - just the illusion of it...

....lack of accountability will always lead to collapse.
(and drawing on 3,554 historical examples to support my position! lol)

The other problem is many of these "decentralized" systems are actually just another centralized system once you start peeling back the layers. It can take a masters in forensics just to find the worthy outlets for your investments.
