This is nonsense. Zcash has existed for nine years and until about eight weeks ago was essentially dead as a functioning chain, managing barely 2k transactions in a full 24‑hour period.
Its fundamentals haven't changed relative to Bitcoin. What did change was the ridiculous surge of overt VC, institutional, early ZEC investor, and high‑follower accounts promoting it all at once.
