Scottsdale Cast Poured Bar - 100 grams

The obverse displays the symbol of the Scottsdale Mint, which is a lion’s head wearing a crown surrounded by radial lines.

Silver bars created using the process of casting are referred to as “molded” or “poured”. The nice thing about this process is that it’s simple, and requires just one step.

The designer can create the molds they want in the design and shape they choose, and from there they just need to melt and pour. This casting process is used to produce many precious metal bars, but it can also be used to create complex ornamental shapes, making it an essential manufacturing process.

The pouring process often creates marks or flaws that are unique to that bar. As such, no two poured bars are exactly the same.

I am stacking more generic rounds and bars this year: silver hand-poured and cast bars, silver pressed bars, and rounds.

Yes, that Scottsdale Mint, Cast Poured Bar - 100 grams is cool and everything, SILVER SAVER - @silversaver888, so is the Geiger & Germania. But, I can't stop staring at the BISBEE. A 100-Gram spell is hard to break.

I have the older version of these Scottsdales bars and there are slight differences now. More ornate crown of the Logo, and the Text 'Scottsdale' in fancier script. Otherwise, generally the same proportions. Great to know that these are still as popular as ever after 5 years.
