I don't think I've seen so much excitement surrounding silver!
But it's a game stop! It's FAKE!
The trouble with silver is that it is a REAL asset.
It is an industrial metal first. The biggest users of silver are some of the largest corporations in the world.
And, silver is a green metal! Each of the emerging new technologies for a green world- from electronics, to solar photovaltalics, to electric vehicles, to the 5G cellular technilogy- are dependent on silver. Silver is a critical component in each of these industrial users. Why? Among the metals, silver is the best conductor of electricity in the planet and therefore the most efficient.
And when Reddit started to stir the water up, they were messing with real companies- Apple, Tesla, Sony, Toshiba; they were messing with the end-user.
It is manipulated
It is 100% manipulated. They keep the price low just so it doesn't blow the operating cost. The silver market price is unsustainably repressed.
It is coming to an end now because the consumption of real silver is going up, while the stockpile is going down.
It has revived the "manipulation talk". Not that it really went away.
Some of the silver investors feel that there is hope that if there is manipulation taking place, it will finally come to the forefront, and perhaps, end now.
Silver Lining
People should wise up. Get educated.

Don't forget the surging use of silver in the Health Care delivery system. More silver compounds will be needed as an antibacterial agent against infection by applying silver coatings to work surfaces in hospitals like counters, hand rails, door handles, bathroom fixtures, light switches, elevator buttons, anything that have a high contact with hands and fingers that is a common transmission vector in the spread of bacteria.
Why stop there.
I see that application used trains, planes and buses too by coating seats and safety hand rails.
And eventually home kitchen and bathroom countertops or any surface you can paint.

There are already proven antibacterial wound treatments using Silver Nitrate and colloidal silver solutions in the market.
Covid19 is viral in nature, much different than bacterial and fungal organisms but I am sure there is some research into potential antiviral applications.

Undoubtedly there are many medical uses of silver... from antibacterial cream to dressings to endotracheal tubes to catheters to x-ray films... I only mentioned the emerging industry "drivers" related to "green" technology. So thank you for mentioning it here!!!

ENGAGEtokens.One of silver's biggest use case is in the renewable energy sector so I doubt demand would go down. The biggest banks and hedge-funds have been slapped multiple times with huge fines but it is small compared to the profit they earned.
I feel like it is now because of the silver shortage. It doesn't make sense why prices don't go up when demand is high but supply is low.

ENGAGEtokens.WSB (Reddit) impacted the retail investment bullion prices. Premiums went up again once they started up. Supply was catching up from what I saw, and now even non PM people are considering SILVER. I'm hearing the buzz on social media and real life from people who never even had a clue before.

Nope. It’s not premiums it what the true spot price should be. The paper assholes are trying to dictate spot price and it’s not working. That’s why dealers are charging what they are. Dealers are paying over spot directly from all the mints. Which has never been the case EVER.
CRIMEX is MANIP-MANOP
It's also at the commodity level, so retail price changes will take time for the CRIMEX to register. Watch this week, "standing for delivery" orders are not being settled, and they are at record levels!

With every dealer across the globe all selling for the same prices. It tells you that the spot price is completely wrong.
Silver under valued is most probably price being held due to manipulation somewhere along the line, especially considering the factors you mention.

Pieces of silver intricately made very few pieces in the home.
I was horrified to learn silver collectors melt them down, the history attached not taken into account. Now they will stay as they are handcrafted in their original beauty.

ENGAGEtokens.Eventually, the manipulation would have to end, I think. There is only so much metal in the ground, and a lot of industrial uses literally 'use' it; it can't be reclaimed. As with everything, there are also things that could be recycled that end up in the dumps. They are lost forever. Whether we will see this in our lifetime, well maybe yours, but probably not mine.
