You can tell James Wan had way more money to work with on this sequel, the camera work is insane with all these long takes gliding through rooms building tension without cutting away every two seconds 🎥 The way he uses shadows and lighting to hide things in plain sight messes with your head, sometimes you swear you see something in the background but its just a shadow, other times its actually the demon. The opening Amityville sequence is intense as hell even though it has nothing to do with the main story, Lorraine gets pulled into a vision where she sees Valak the demon nun who threatens to kill Ed if they dont stop investigating cases 😨 finding out this was the vision that messed her up in the first movie was a nice touch
