Hello dear Hiveans! Hope all of you are in good health. Yesterday was surfing my Facebook and found one critical issue with the digital life we are accustomed to in online based lifestyle. One of the guys lost his total access to his personal laptop which is really pathetic and many of his personal files are in the hacker's hand. Moreover, he has gotten the ultimatum of 48 hours to pay a huge amount of money to get back his access. And he has many contacts with his emails to many clients and the social accounts are at the hacker's hands threatening him to publish some personal secrets publicly. Most of cases like in third-world countries like Bangladesh these hackers get access through the following ways-
With the pirated software activator as most of us can't afford the genuine one!
Through the unprotected wifi and network
With the cracked software for watching streaming services for free
Scamming and Phishing links with provoking ads of getting free money or gifts
The last one is from the free porn sites
From shopping to banking or from health issues to psychological issues and from entertainment to the sports like video games, we all are just living inside the internet. And in today's digital life, a tremendous amount of online activities have become an essential part of our lives. Whether we are shopping, banking, or socializing online, we need to ensure that our activities are safe and secure. With cyber threats constantly evolving, it is important to take measures to protect our online activities. Here I am going to outline the top safety measures that can protect from the such situation as follows.
Use Strong Passwords
One of the most critical safety measures is to use a unique and strong passwords for every important sites we use. Use a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters, and avoid using easily guessable information like your name, date of birth, or phone number.
