There is definitely a fundamental lack of real knowledge in the general media. Those individuals who do know a little, unfortunately, suffer from that old adage that a little knowledge is dangerous... they just don't get it and they literally just see it as "too complicated", "too risky", "too technical", "not real money", "scam". They have bought into media negativity and SEC responses and have failed to adhere to the "DYOR" approach. I feel that those in regulatory positions either don't have a clue what they are doing when they are looking to heavily regulate, or they know exactly what they are doing in trying to control and tame the beast lol.
