Cryptobrewmaster With Some Big Ideas On Hive

in LeoFinance4 years ago

I am sure by now you heard of one of the newest games to the Hive ecosystem, @cryptobrewmaster.

This is an interesting game in that it allows each individual to be a personal brewer. Throughout the game, the goal, for the moment, is to assemble the necessary ingredients through daily quests. Once these are accumulated, one is them able to brew his or her beer.

Once the beer is brewed, it then can be sold in the pub for gold which will eventually be converted into the game's native token (CBM).

The game just entered Alpha stage meaning it is open to play. Many of the functions are still not live since it is at the MVP stage.

Nevertheless, there is a great deal to be excited about here. Like most games, the possibilities for cards is virtually unlimited. Enormous amounts of wealth can be generated through this if the game becomes rather popular.

Another facet that I think is imperative is the fact there are over 1 million independent and hobbyist brewers from around the world. This is a built in target market for the game.

The union of the gaming and real world is evident here. As was mentioned a little over a week ago, the team behind this game decided to do a run of beer at a brewery in the Ukraine. This is a 2,000 liter production that is meant to promote the game. Hence, we see a blending of the two worlds.

Not only this but it allowed people to participate using HIVE as a method of investment. Even though the ingredients were purchased in EUR, individuals got involved by putting up HIVE in exchange for CBM on Hive-Engine. This should net a 20% return for those who were involved.

However, that is not the only bridge that is possible. As mentioned, there are over 1 million global independent and hobbyist brewers out there. Eventually, the goal is to have them be able to target new customers by going through the game. The brewers can basically advertise their malts by having them placed in the game. This will help to introduce those brands to the players.

Of course, there will be a cost to do this. Nevertheless, we know companies pay a lot of money to have products featured in games and television shows. In this instance, it might be more valuable since the audience is targeted. It is not a general interest platform. The game obviously centers around beer.

This is only one avenue. There are also companies that make products for beer production. Here again, we can see the bridge. Perhaps there will comes a time when each player has to decide on which brewing machinery to buy. Companies that pay to have their products placed in the game would be known by their brand name.

We could even take this one step further where in-game brews are evolved into the physical world. Individuals (or teams) could experiment, in game, with different ingredient blends in an effort to create a new product. This could then be brewed for real and sold on the open market. Perhaps it could be done in conjunction with established independent breweries.

There is a lot of discussion about creating economy around cryptocurrencies. In my mind, I see a natural economy forming with this game. The audience already exists since there are beer drinkers all over the world. At the same time, the 1 million brewers are looking at targeting those individuals.

We know there is a lot of money to be made by bringing buyers and sellers together. Look at the stock price of Amazon to see how valuable that it.

With Cryptobrewmaster, it could serve a similar purpose via a game. By operating in the virtual world, real world companies are exposed to a new customer base. Via tokenization, those who are playing the game stand to benefit since the advertising revenue, instead of going to Google or Facebook, ends up benefiting the token holders. This can be done through either burning of the token or using the proceeds to further spread word about the game (or some combination of the two).

The next 6 months will focus upon rolling out all the necessary in game features that are already planned. From what I can garner, there is still a lot of development to be done. Since these ideas are already floating around, the technical side will allow for them to be easily added at a later date.

My final thought on this is the ease of use. Learning curve is always a concern when it comes to something new. From my limited experience playing this game, it is very simple. One can learn in a matter of minutes. To me, this is an enormous benefit since it does not frustrate new users who seek immediate gratification.

Try it out for yourself. Here is an invite that gives everyone a full round of ingredients to brew the first batch of beer.

It's great isn't it - I love the concept of 'beer energy' and the pace is totally appropriate.

I'm contemplating holding off brewing until I get some better quality ingredients!

I am still trying to figure out the best approach. You are right, it might be best to wait for better ingredients before brewing. Get a nice payout on the batch.

I just read there latest post in which they claimed it is just 5% of game that is released till now. Beta has to offer much more gameplay.

it then can be sold in the pub for gold which will eventually be converted into the game's native token (CBM).

Is it some internal news or something in general announcement that I missed.

@rollie1212 mentioned it in discord one day.

That is part of the eventual roll out plans.
