The Metaverse was the rage for a while. We saw the hype machine get out of control.
In an article, we see that Metaverse tokens were down the most in 2022.

That is not a surprise. It was all hype from the start.
In this video I discuss the reality of the metaverse and how Hive could play a potential part. It is a long term process since we are not looking at this anytime soon.

That's a fresh perspective on the intertwining between Hive and the metaverse. The hive platform is based on user engagement in a static form (blogging, commenting, videos), but that could easily translate into a dynamic form through live engagement and interactions.

Yeah it is going to require a great deal of technological advancement. Yet, I believe that Web 3.0 is a foundation for the Metaverse. As stated, the latter is decades out in my opinion.
Hive is setting up to be the foundation of the former though.

I've said it before but a clone of https://www.voxels.com/ on Hive would be a cool way for this blockchain to dip its toes into a metaverse type platform. It would be cool to visit friends or favorite authors places in a 3d space that they can design and decorate with NFTs etc.
And if someone did make it, we could buy or rent a parcel on their platform with an ad and link to ours, perfect targeted marketing lol #guerillamarketing #maybeunethical
Metaverses and NFTs were on the rage but I just didn't see them proving their use cases anytime soon. It just felt like there was too much hype and it just fizzled out as people saw what was developed. It was nothing like what they were expecting or at least not yet.

there is still work going on on metaverse but we don't hear a lot about it these days maybe cause the market is so red right now
Or more likely it was bullshit from the beginning and the hype died down.
The Metaverse is decades away. A lot of technology is required before them and that is going to take time especially in the area of computation.

Agree is great idea but unfortunately we don't have tech to really make it work come true as of now

Interesting point of view. Indeed, Metaverse without Web 3.0 won't see a bright future. And Hive is all about Web 3.0, or at least it should be.
