The Potential Of Cryptobrewmaster

When we see a new application show up, it is healthy to size up the potential. Here we will take a look at @cryptobrewmaster, the beer brewing game that is progressing through Alpha.

cbm.png

We heard about this game back in the ole Steem days. The team was even able to secure a spot as a speaker during the last Steemfest. When presented, the game offered a great deal of promise for its ability to tokenize in-game activity for potential profit.

One of the main attractions of the shift to Web 3.0 is the gamification of different applications. Being able to offer incentives that translate into real world is very appealing.

Obviously Cryptobrewmaster has a solid start. According to stateofthedapps.com, the game is currently ranked 18th. There are around 800 users each day.

cbm.png

One of the things that is attractive with this game is the ease of use. It is a simple game to get started. One can become familiar with the basic actions of the game in a few minutes.

Essentially, it uses the time-based quest system. Each player goes on quests to find the ingredients for one's brew. There are 5 that are required and all can be acquired for free. To trade off the time, one can use the CBM token and energy to speed up both the quests and brewing process. This adds another element to the game for those who are seriously interested in advancing further.

Presently, some of the features are still missing. It is in Alpha yet every week or two, another couple features are added.

The "how-tos" of the game are outside the scope of this article. There are a number of those detailing how the game is played.

Instead, I want to focus upon the opportunity the game presents and the potential it offers.

The token itself, CBM, appears to be holding steady on Hive-Engine.

cbm.png

While the volume is nothing to get excited about, the fact the token is not crashing is a major positive. As we all are aware, tokens have a tendency to get a bit of excitement to start then crash as everyone unloads. It is evident there are enough players at least holding the token for future updates.

Naturally, the true value of any project of this nature comes from the tokeneconomics that are put together. So far, much of what is out there has not truly broken through to the mainstream.

Cryptobrewmaster already is looking towards the idea of outside reach to support the project. Within the version already released, there are place holders for advertising.

cbm.png

Here we see an ad for an actual yeast distributor. This same model can be applied to those who sell products and services for the brewing process along with those who actually make the beer themselves.

Ultimately, the team can get creative with what they are doing. For example, they could approach brewer's associations throughout the world.

There are tens of thousands of independent brewers globally. They range from those who make hundreds of thousands of liters of beer annually to those who do just a few. All have a vested interest in promoting their brands as well as their craft.

Organizations such as this could be approached to leverage the success of the game while adding to it. If there are a fair number of people, local brewers can be paired with players (add a "find a brewer in your area" search tab) to assist in providing them with business. At the same time, if things grow enough, the local brewers could start to accept the CBM token as payment.

The advantage to this game is that it is targeted in its focus. It is a game that centers around beer. Thus, anyone who is involved in the beer industry, especially smaller players, will have some kind of interest. After all, the game is helping to promote their craft.

For the players, this enables one to start the path down Web 3.0. Here we see where one's time spent on the game is not just for fun. The CBM token has real world value and can be converted into fiat. We know the use case of this and how it offers the potential to change lives.

cbm.png

Personally, this feels more like a virtual business than a game. It is simply another stream of income that is generated through the clicking of a few buttons each day. Obviously, as more features are added, to keep ascending the ladder, one will likely have to be more focused. Nevertheless, for the moment, the learning curve is low and it is an easy game to start playing.

It is impossible to forecast where things will go in the future. That said, when I look at a crypto project, I like to see development that is taking place. Too many projects have a sound introduction and then crickets. Cryptobrewmaster is very steady with their gaming updates, adding more features as time passes. It is easy to see, when looking at the game, the future roadmap by their "coming soon" signs posted. Every couple weeks, the number of those signs decreases.

From my perspective, 800 users is a good beginning. However, there is no reason why this game cannot see a 10x increase in usage. The simplicity along with the innovation of the project team makes it a rather easy sell. The market is targeted meaning that it will be able to leverage people's love of beer and the brewing process.

We will have to see what the team is planning in terms of the project economics going forward. That said, it looks like they are building a solid foundation.

If you have not played the game, here is my referral link to help you get started.

I am a regular player and it is addictive :)
Interesting fact I noticed about the game is the ability to play this game with your google account. It's a nice blending which could ultimately help the adoption of Hive with the other regular users.

I'm not a gamer myself because I don't have a PC however I like to support from the ranks, tweeting and cheering. Cryptobrewmaster seems less complicated than splinterland. I love the fact that the token is holding up, I believe this is what what me bought into leo. It proves the project has a plan, a long lasting plan as at that.

Amazing write again

A lot easier than Splinterlands although completely different premise.

This is not as in depth (partially due to the lack of development thus far) and operates on a simple premise: get the ingredients, brew the beer, and sell it.

That is the entire essence.

The entire simple essence in itself is even exciting if you ask me. Makes the game in itself easier for adoption by all means. Let's see how the development comes along.

I think what's great about it as well is that I don't really see a way people could operate a bot on it. I enjoy Splinterlands as it's a fun game but unfortunately the only reason the game ranks high on the dApp radar is because of the 99% bots volume.

What I like about CBM is that you can pop in every so often, do the quest things and then log out, not a big time commitment!

I think it's really cool that the game connects to real websites and information about brewing, that's the first I've seen of that type in the gaming world!

I have high hopes for Cryptobrewmaster.
The fact that you don't even need a Hive account to start playing is brilliant and is surely going to help to bring a lot of new faces to Hive. I'm still almost daily finding new referrals from outside of Hive for the game.

I wasnt aware they had implemented that already. That is great.

I think I need to start playing this game too.

I am thinking of keeping my CBM token so I can keep them for investment for their next brew.

Love the game, and really looking forward to playing when it's more complete

I think I will like it a lot more when you can brew more than just a European Lager.

I was an active player for a while, it's a fun game and very simple too.

Also I like that you can get a chunk of hive (about 50 I have heard) when you reach 1000 CBM (you need 1000 to transfer out of the game) so I think that's a great incentive to keep playing (i'm about halfway there, but stopped playing for a while as it was to distracting)

TBT to when I brewed a master brew!!

Screen Shot 2020-08-20 at 7.00.02 PM.png

Omg that was luck!! I only get one blue =/

I haven't been playing for very long but I enjoy the slow pace of the game along with no pressure of "seasons" ending or anything like that :-)

Your text are great as ussual! They hit top 40 on dappradar.

Its great to see Dapps with dedicated developers. They are active in the community. Original games like this makes Hive itself growth by atracting new users.

When the more Hive related dapps start showing on more users around the world start viewing hive with interest.

I was thinking about what you say about the insertion of real brewers as something "massive".

Its going to be hard to reach. We need some dapp in the middle, to coordinate no just brewers but any kind if advertise related to apps in the Hive cryptosphere.

Sry my bad english

I am serving beers day after day and trying receipt variations with what is currently available. The game has an impressive growth and I foresee also some NFTs in the form of distillery equipment or some other goods that are needed in a brewery. Starting from amateur and getting pro can prove an adventurous journey if they choose this path in the game.

But indeed what they are doing so far and is working is the fact that they KEEP IT SIMPLE!

You said something very interesting, the Cryptobrewmaster team is usually very active on social networks and this attracts many curious eyes.

The simplicity of the game is something very attractive and in a way it can even addict someone to want to never forget their daily clicks. Cryptobrewmaster is undoubtedly a promising game.

I'm surprised you didn't even mention the IRL beer brews!

It is especially encouraging that the token price is holding up given how easy it is to pick them up for free in game - something like 30 a day per player I think, maybe more if you're clever about how you purchase the good stuff.

Her'es my referral link if you'd rather do me a favour!

The bloody cheek of it I know!

Hey @landshutbrauhaus have you already noticed this article and the game?

I wanted to get into it, but there is no faq and no instructions, but I guess the information is out there. Hope there is more development

edit: I found the "how to play" post and I'll look into it!

Its really quite easy. Hop (pun intended) on Inn (pun intended) and give it a spin, really very simple game to play and as its only in alpha lots of easy ground to be made up!

There are quite a few of us playing already and would be more than happy to answer any questions you have.

Let me know if you want a ref link too, (poachey, poachey) and here's a link to the discord too. https://discord.gg/58CM7v3

thanks! I hope you guys find the time to add the rest of the game :) Are there any plans to make it a bit more interesting? As I understand it, you basically buy the ingredients (or do the quests) and sell the beer for the token again. Don't get me wrong, I like it so far ;)

It’s a long journey

Posted using Dapplr

Sure! Just get to our Discord, there are some roadmap plan over there, you can check that. Cheers))

It’s easy to start playing and since there are (so far) few features, it’s hard to go terribly wrong. I did find out the hard way that there’s no point in trying to exceed 24 energy.

But it’s basically complete tasks (from the bulletin board in the tavern), brew beer, sell it at the cash register, buy energy from the bartender.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

I did find out the hard way that there’s no point in trying to exceed 24 energy.

Thanks for the alert on that. I didn't know that piece.

I guess it is enough power for one day worth of quests..1 energy per hour.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah took me a couple days to realize the bulletin board lol I should have clicked around more!
