The Krugerrand is one of the most popular bullion coin. The gold coins are minted by South African Mint from 1967. The first silver coins were minted in 2017 to celebrate 50. anniversary. The Silver Krugerrands are minted from 2018.
The Krugerrand name comes from two words. The name of the president Kruger (you can see his portrait on the obverse) and the name of the currency Rand.

Mince Krugerrand se řadí mezi nejoblíbenější sběratelské mince. Jihoafrická mincovna začala zlaté mince vydávat již roku 1967. K 50. výročí, tedy v roce 2017 byly vyražené první stříbrné investiční a zároveň sběratelské pamětní mince. Stříbrné mince Krugerrand jsou nyní raženy od roku 2018.
Krugerrand je prazvláštní název a pro ráčkujícího člověka může být nevyslovitelné ;) Nicméně jde o složeninu jména prezidenta Krugera (jehož podobizna se nachází na lícní straně) a měny Rand.

It's one of the cheapest bullion here. Its cost is near Maple, Kangaroo and Britannia.

The gold version of this coin has been iconic coin for decades, I was wondering why a silver version hasn't come out until recently.
Wow... Another amazing coin, and I need to check it out. Most of them are very expensive here but I hope I can find me one for a good price 😁
