Democrat politicians in the House are going ahead with yet another politically motivated "investigation."

Gotta call B.S. on this. Republicans had a chance for an independent investigation into the insurrection where they would have had half the seats and the power to subpoena witnesses. They voted against an independent commission en masse.

What might have been doesn't change what is. This is happening under Democrat leadership for pretty obvious partisan purposes.

Nor does the fact that there could have been a better (but still deeply flawed) structure improve the quality of this one.

Much like the Republican senate in Arizona shouldn't be "auditing" the election, the House shouldn't be trying to re-litigate the blame game for Jan 6th with this "investigation."

Republicans abandoned the chance for an independent and/or bipartisan investigation. They had to know that Democrats weren’t going to roll over and do nothing.

the House shouldn't be trying to re-litigate the blame game for Jan 6th with this "investigation."

Where’s the re in re-litigate? Was there any thorough top-to-bottom investigation?

Where’s the re in re-litigate?

The second impeachment of President Trump. Pelosi chose to let it be prosecuted hastily, for very little advantage from what I can tell. Anyway she and her party got their verdict.

In an article you highlighted on the topic in today's Odd's and Ends (loved the meme, btw) another of the tweets mentioned is this one

This is just it. That's not stupid. If there's some deeper plot to be found here — say, a dark alliance of Alex Jones, the then POTUS, and Dormammu — then it needs to be exposed by some body where the people deeply skeptical of the accusatory agenda have a voice and the case to the public still sticks.

Otherwise it's not credible and only fuels the conspiratorial fires.
