This is undoubtedly one of the worst weeks in the history of crypto but most definitely the worst week for FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried. The news right now is FTX has just been hacked. On the official telegram page, a pinned post was shard where it was announced that the platform had just been hacked
At first it did look like this was an inside job and the first thought was that the firm was trying to go away with any fund they could muster including theirs and those of their users like many platforms do just when they're about to completely sink. But some employees came out to announce the addresses the funds were sent to aren't familiar and this was a security breach.
$FTT is currently tanking and has dropped by about 20% in the last few hours since the hack got reported and users of FTX have been adviced to not login their account via the app or update their app because of a potential malware that has been used for the exploit. Many FTX users are also reporting their wallet which was initially funded to be having $0 with everything gone. As at the time of this writing, there has been no official statement by FTX or Sam Bankman-Fried, and over $380 million has been reported to have been moved by the exploit.
It is truly sad this is happening when the firm is at its most vulnerable and had slowed down withdrawals of funds. Whether this is a hack or a rug pull, my heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by this. What a week!!! What a year!!!

This is pure thievery and I hope they don't get away with this. The crypto space seems to overlook things easily, I hope this one is different.

Damnit, every bear market something else happens... This sucks but also its good to "clean" up that shit. Bad news for all FTX holders and people on that exchange. Also weard that there were probs with ledger and FTX... anyway let's see what the bear market will bring up next... 🙄🐻
Oh no! I guess that’s the nail in the coffin. What a nightmare it has been for FTX users and the crypto space at large. It will be very hard for FTX to be believed when they say they have nothing to do with the hack.

No idea when people will realize that keeping money on exchanges is equivalent to giving known thieves gold bars to hang onto for you for safe keeping..

Yeah, it's most definitely an inside job,especially since SBF and FTX also haven't talked about it. Plus this thievery is most definitely a way to not entirely go broke
Dang! It sounds like a desperate escape goat. Though, there is also the possibility of being true, maybe someone was pissed on FTX that they they decided to hack it.
