Ask Leo: Is your inflation rampant and are your prices soaring?
It seems to me that we are all watching our fiat go up in smoke!
Ever since that day six months ago when Ukraine was invaded, things have just skyrocketed!

It started with fuel prices hitting record highs then dropping slightly. Food prices going up on a daily basis. The list is endless of what is going up and up.
I am not sure where you are from, but here in the UK we now have inflation over 10% and hitting 40 year highs. Some estimates put UK inflation hitting 18% next year!
Energy prices this October are going to be three times what they were last year. The UK is in for very hard times. People are struggling already, heaven help us if we have a harsh winter.
We are waiting to see what out governement will do to help people.
Meanwhile we justsit and watch ourmoney go in inflames. At least the internet and phone plans have not increased, that is one blessing I guess!
Is your goverment doing anything to help the people?
I know for example that Germans get €9-a-month travel in response to energy price rises . Although I think that was only for the summer months.
Every time I goto the grocery store I see another product which has risen in price.
Even coffee which I love and am addicted to, has been getting more expensive almost weekly. The coffee I buy is now 50% more expensive than it was in January! Maybe that prompted me to have to post a #coffee #thread today
Now we have strikes for more pay. The binmen are on strike now, I think tomorrow is the last bin collection for me for a while! Previously buses and trains were affected over the summer.
What is happening in your country my fellow Leos?
Is inflation rampant?
Are there strikes for pay happening?
Are your prices rising?

What can I say that I haven't already said? This is a disaster, and now that the crisis is also global, the hope that things will improve is disappearing even faster.
YES and YES
In some sectors, they happen, but they are not as frequent as there.
YES, and the sad thing is that here we are so used to price increases that people don't even complain about it anymore. There is a resignation in this regard.
Let's hope this year's winter won't be too harsh over there because the energy situation doesn't look good at all.

That is sad. Here with petrol(gas) prices the public have stopped complaining because it has fallen, but still well above what it was eight months. That resignation is not good at all.
The winter uff, I am up at 3.39am because my bones are killing me, which means a weather change is coming, and I notice the forecast is for temperature drops, so it won't belong before the heating goes on or I start wearing about ten layers of woolie clothing!
Have a great night Super Eli.

Resignation is never a good sign.
¡Hola, hola, Super Ed! Cómo está tu espalda, espero que no te moleste. Si es indicativo de una bajada de temperatura empieza abrigarte.
¿Has posteado ya en español? Todavía no he revisado mi feed;)
hola hola super Eli
Inflation is absolutely through the roof. It's beyond impressive how much. And coffee! It makes me want to cry, the cost of coffee. I might need to start drinking just hot water!
Oh no so your coffee is going up too! Damn, I won't do the hot water, but I have been having the occasional cup of tea! Shocking times!

My dear, Inflation is sooooo common here. You know, ASUU on strike, students out of schools, the PHCN (Power Holding Company of Nigeria) threatened to go on a strike as well! I buy things thrice the price now. A tier of Beans is almost a 1k! Good rice– let me not get started! Everything is just off the charts!!! Ha! We don't even get water anymore. We go to neighbouring houses to fetch from their boreholes! Get it? It's that bad. Ha!
oh dear my dear!
That PHCN is not the best even when they are not on strike!
So you buy a bargain when you see it. I am tempted to make a community for that!
Rice oh yes, that is going up here and potatoes and bread all the staples!
YOur water, not that does suck:(
Very much so. You want to make a bargain Community...? I'm well with you if you ever decide to. Hahaha.
Absolutely I do, still figuring it in my head and I want you.

You're welcome @tengolotodo! Have a nice day 😊👍
Thank you 🙂🙂🙂
Everything has risen in prices especially consumables. Wonder how far these things go.
Yeah they just go up and up, and now the droughts will make prices go up even more now here CJ!
How is your farm producing?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Oh my... droughts are no good Tito Ed.
No farm produce yet, Tito Ed. The new crops started a month ago and still lot of work pending due to the rain. It's also the time to spend more on farm inputs and prices are unimaginable. A $50 sack of fertilizer months ago now costs $120! It's maddening :(
Damn that is crazy prices :(
Well I hope that the rain does not ruin things.
Will keep my fingers crossed for you CJ:)
Sure is Tito Ed. Can't really do anything but close the eyes and purchase things anyway. Thank you lots :)
!PIZZA
hehe close your eyes and purchase, what a great turn of phrase CJ;)
Just make sure that we do actually get what we want when the eyes are closed!

Hahaha, yes Tito Ed. We always make sure of that.
