I have to be careful how I word this as I don't want to unnecessarily upset people, but here we go:
Almost everything you've seen has been a public negotiation.
The public arguments in front of the cameras, the statements to the press about who's a dictator, choice of which clothes to wear, people putting flags in their bios, all of that is negotiating pressure from one side or the other to get a better deal.
I want people to be aware of this, because when you're being whipped up into a moralistic fervor over what one politician or another said, you're being used as a negotiating tool.
That's fine if you want to help out that way, but just be aware. The next time some politician makes a big moralistic public "stand" and you join in support, and are disappointed when later they completely reverse position, now you know why.
Be safe and smart out there!
You observation is quite deep, and it is sure notable one.
Haha
